Just curious, most of my underwear I get by shoppping online, as there is just so many options - but I have a feeling a lot of people still don't trust shopping on the net...

so tell us where you buy your undies/swimwear?

i have always bought my undies in shops and department stores. it's been comfortable for me that way but sometimes i kinda get shy when i buy them because the saleslady looks at me like i'm weird or something...sometimes with a devilish smirk...wish it was a guy. :hump

there aren't many shops here where you can get your undies custom-made.

Believe it or not, I find quite a variety in thrift shops. Arizona has many thrift shops and people moving and out. I have found every thing from g strings to union suits at really reasonable prices.

I love to go underwear shopping in stores (I get all squishy and pre-cummy). I'm real nervous, like I have a tattoo on my forehead or somethin (A big "U"?)!!

I like to shop at Ross and TJ Maxx because they have a lot of different brands to choose from, usually single pairs of briefs (I have very few pair of the same brand of brief. I love an assortment!). I also like to shop at thrift stores too. Nothing like pre-worn briefs. I like to fantasize about who wore them before me. Probably some nasty old man that died in them!!! lol.

The good 'ol USA has nothing on Eurpoe when it comes to underwear selection. If you are ever heading to Paris make sure to bring lots of $$$ for underwear. At the bigger department stores there, the mens underwear section is the size of the women's lingerie section in the U.S. And even better, usually a good looking guy who works for the store will be on hand to help you make selections! At first this was a little wierd, but now I really look forward to the help. He will usually tell you how the brand fits and assist you with getting the right size. Its fantastic. Underwear shopping in Paris is a real thrill in a city of nothing but thrills!

As for the USA...I like shopping at the sporting goods stores, you usually can find sports underwear and jocks there....I like the marketing apporach of these prodcuts too....sort of an "all american guy" approach...especially under armour and champion!

Never online. I want to see them and choose a rather long time. Before there were 2 little shops (Antwerp and Ghent in Belgium) with a large choice where you could try them on. The gay shop keepers even gave you a blowjob. Really nice. I now am looking for shops where you can try them on. I never buy underwear from a woman, altough it is sometimes hard to find a man selling underwear.
For underwear shopping I often go with a friend for advice. When we have a nice man selling the underwear we play it openly and explicitly gay. Always with good results. This does not mean that we try to do the guy. On the contrary, although we did it once. Once we had a man who wanted to know everything about being gay. He was straight. He really wanted to know. That was really interesting. After closing we went to a pub drinking beer with the guy who clearly did know nothing about gays, but really wanted to know.We were 3 hours with him. Guy was really respectfull and I am about sure he must have been straight.Something irreel. Nice.

For the last 10 years all my underwear purchases have been online.
Seems most upscale department stores only carry CK or 2(x)ist and no USA store near me carries or even knows about HOM. My latest fetish.

I buy mine wherever I can find it on sale. Manytimes, it is a department store when they have a good sale. Sometimes, if a new line is out, I will buy at full price to try out some. I also have ordered online. I buy mostly white briefs and a lot of boxers from Abercrombie&Fitch because they fit me best. I also have some boxerbriefs at long and short trunk lengths. And, of course, I love to wear each of them in the shower.

I get a fair few from ebay in the UK - turns out that most have been pre-worn and some have been very accomodating even though ebay refuses to allow worn underwear to be sold  Something nice about getting something you aint allowed to get.

Am wearing a nice pair of black ribbed Ben Sherman briefs that have obviously seen some action with the previous owner

deadgoodundiesdotcom
05-09-2005, 05:19 AM
Hmmmm can't sell pre worn - thats put a spanner in the works.
We were going to ebay some of the items off that we used for the models when we did the photo shoot as we obviously can't sell them as new, we've got about 20 items that we are going to give the models first pick of if they want to take any of it, the remainder we were going to ebay - the items have really only been worn for a max of 10 mins and all was worn with a flesh coloured thong underneath just to keep things nice and hygenic (and before anyone asks they already walked off with the HOM original plumes at the end of the shoot)

When ebay adopted that "no preworn" policy, a few other auction sites rushed in to fill that gap. I've used www.naughtybids.com when browsing for such stuff. :o

Interesting, i did pop over to take a look but as soon as I saw that they wanted my credit card details BEFORE I had acutally put anything up for auction it kind of put me off.
I suppose they do need some way of confirming your age but i can think of better ways.

I have been buying mine at stores. I just wear regular colored Hanes briefs. I get mine from Wal-Mart. Are there better brands that I could wear? Have not worn briefs for 7 years. I used to go to department stores to get boxers, but I never was looking for briefs. Just curious. I'd love to get different colors than the 8 or so I have now.

Of the 150 or so pair of various kinds of underwear, I would say I got the majority of them from ebay. I love all the various brands that I can find from Germany and elsewhere. And its always hot when I get a new shipment and get to try them on to see how they fit for the first time!

I'm always on the look out for sexy male underwear when I go shopping. I used to buy underwear from M&S but since they stopped the 'Active' line I don't find their selection very 'sexy'. My preference is Sloggi for men. I like white Tanga basic. I've had difficulty finding an outlet that sells the Sloggi Tanga thong. Maybe they've stopped manufacturing. The one in my avatar is a Hom thong bought about 3 year ago. It is well worn as I love wearing it.
I was interested to see that JustHom are offering a 10% discount to USG members. In future, maybe I'll source my next undie acquisitions on-line from them.

I used to pretty much only buy underwear online. There weren't many stores here that carried the kinds that I liked.

Now, where I buy my underwear depends on what kind I'm buying. If I'm buying "designer" underwear like 2(x)ist or CK, I still shop online for them. Recently, I've become attached to the trunk type underwear made by Life that Wal-Mart sells. And I'll go to Wal-Mart or Target for the likes of Hanes and FTLs.

I've never felt any kind of embarassment when buying underwear. Never been a reason to feel that way when I'll walk into women's clothing stores to buy clothes and such! haha

I have purchased a large majority of my underwear at JC Penny. but, I have purchased underwear at many stores. I like to browse at TJ Max, and did find a very nice pair of Ralph lauren boxer briefs for $3.00 there. As well as a 3 pack of 2xist briefs for $5.00. Also nice undies at Value City.

My most recent purchases were a pair of Tommy Hef action briefs from the Younkers depertment store at my local mall $10.00. And, I also purchased a single pair of white Joe boxer briefs for $.99 cents clearanced at K-mart.

I aslo like to browse the undies at thrift stores. I found a pair of brand new
Calvin Klien sport boxers for $.99 cents still in the box!!! If you look you can find some vintage undies there too. Lots of fruit of the looms. but, still haven' found the type I'm looking for.

I also purchase underwear at EBay. But, it's pretty expensive to buy there.
I purchaed some vintage JC Penny boxers there...cost me $20.00!!!

I only shop online now. I've been wearing N2N sheer bikini's, low riders, jocks, and thongs. They only have white and black, but I'm telling you, they fit like nothing else. They are cut so that your balls are pushed upwards, thus pushing your dick outwards. They are so comfortable that it's better than wearing nothing at all (something else I like to do :D ) Since they aren't sold in stores... I buy online. A word of warning... N2N's were designed by a man, and they fit like it. Once you've worn them, you won't want to wear anything else, no matter what the cost!

The only online order I have done is with Skiviez.com. They have a good selection, prices are comparable and free shipping on orders over $50. Otherwise it is Marshal Fields, JC Penny or Kohl's.

I order a lot of my underwear online, as much as I like the thrill of shopping for it in real stores. www.mensunderwearstore.com is where I get a lot of mine, they have a great selection...C-in2, 2xist, Unico, N2N, Calvin Klein, etc....., they have hot models, quick shipping, and you can earn points and get credit towards futire purchases when you redeem! www.internationaljock.com is also a great place for jocks, thongs, and other gear too. But, www.n2nbodywear.com is hands down my fave. N2N makes the hottest gear....cut to fit a man and show you off.....keeps you looking good and horned up all day! Not to mention the models are not too shabby on the eyes!

While I do order underwear on line, I usually buy my underwear while on vacation. Most are very different than what we can get here in New York and they remind me of my vacation. I do like underwear shopping, especially when you meet other men in the department and get to see what they are buying.

Last fall I vacationed in Australia. I bought 32 pairs of underwear while I was there. I loved all the different brands and colors.

Here in the U.S. I'll buy online some. I tend to get a lot at Ross, TJMaxx or Marshall's. I found the hottest underwear at Marshall's -- Airell. They are made in Columbia and a just awesome. They fit a lot like Unicos.

I'll also hit Target for Merona and sometimes Wal-Mart for the Life Brand.

I love finding different brands, colors and styles/cuts.

New to this site but old to the question posted: where to buy underware:
Simple answer where ever you can! .... thrift stores and vintage stores offer some great options for preworn and very soft briefs whereas online (like EBay) can get you some designer briefs for a discounted price. Someone mentioned ROSS in the USA and they were correct ... but you have to go often. I REALLY like this sites guide:
http://www.usg-online.com/shopping/index.php it has some really great sites to check out. You can also host your own underware party and request that your guests bring an EXTRA pair for the host! :hump

It all depends on when I get in the mood to shop for underwear. I'm lucky that near me we have an underwear/swimwear store (Martin & Wall in San Diego) so finding something interesting isn't too hard. Outside of that, I look in magazines for places when I travel (I just visited the Male Bag in Las Vegas today) and also shop online. I've bought from ebay before but I try to be really picky for obvious reasons.

Sainnl,

Glad everyone is not like you, i'd be out of a job! ;)

As someone who is addicted to underwear, I admit I've bought stuff online and never ended up wearing it, but in most cases I've done well with my INternet purchases. I find that underwear sizing isn't a perfect science with elasticized waistbands, but with descriptions and exchanging info on sites like this, you can make informed purhcases.

Besides, in most shops, you can't try them on anyway.

i, too, can attest to wishing I'd bought a different size from a store...
the selection of the internet is great, but who doesn't love the instant gratification of buying instore?

the H&M flagship in toronto is a great place for briefs and trunks, and they're amazingly well priced. (i find their stuff is a lot like Simon's le 31, but of higher quality and better fitting)

so far most all of what i have i have gotten online. it seams like i never have any spare money to go out and get myself any of the things i enjoy, so every now and then i find something i will sell on e-bay. i then use that money to buy some lycra/spandex or underwear that look like i would like them. but sadly i reairly have a chance to even do that anymore

Thought I'd answered this one, but maybe not.

I like large shops... or at least where you can browse the goodies without the "can I help you Sir.." Note the Sir

I never buy name "name" stuff just run of the mill brands and theres enough to chose from.

i always buy mine on line at e-bay its quick and i dont have to wait long for them and you can get some real bargins.i think online shopping is the way forward as when i used to go into a shop looking for undies i would never pick up thongs or things like that worried at what the counter staff might think or others in the shop. :)

I live in Colorado and we have outlet stores in a couple of areas. I was up in the mountains near Breckenridge over the weekend. The outlet mall that I visited had a Jockey store. Like a kid in a candy store I went hog wild. They had some great buys and so many of their styles to choose from. After visiting the store I immediately checked out the Jockey website. It is interesting that you can host a Jockey party and even become a sales rep for Jockey. Could be fun!

For the past couple of years, I've bought most of my underwear at a local discount store called Jax (really!). They are a low end, closeout type place but they always have an assortment of men's bikini underwear for sale, usually at $3.95 per 3 pack. The brands vary but they often have really good, hot styles. I've also bought some very thin, shiny nylon t-shirts from them. These look really sexy all by themselves, which is how I sometimes wear them. (Ok, I wear sandals too.)

I voted 50/50 as I get a lot from kiniki.com, but also buy from any shop that takes my eye out in the real world.
The trouble is that very few shops ever do a really decent window display of swimming trunks.
I used to go into real shops more frequently to buy my swimwear and, provided I wasn't in my home town, got braver and braver over what I would say to the shop assistants. The look on some of the young girls faces when you say you're only buying a size too small to wear in bed with your boyfriend is amazing. One shop girl once offered to 'convert me' if I wore a particular pair of really skimpy trunks in bed with her. I was ever so tempted, but thought it best to decline.

I usually get my briefs from shops and my favourite for every day wear has to be Marks and Spencer tanga style -Authentic range.I was thrilled last year to find they also did a great pack of four thongs. The fit is quality very comfortable sexy -and even socially acceptable! Unfortunately they have stopped doing them -the only decent tangas( ok I do like indecent ones sometimes!) are Sloggi.BHS do Christmas special thongs but even they seem to have stopped doing the tangas.
