Has anyone else had problems with the shipping from UG? The first time I ordered from them, I used the fast express shipping and it arrived on time, no problems. The second time, I had it sent USPS ground (no tracking capabilities) and after 20 days I mailed UG and asked what where my order was. Their response was to wait 20-25 BUSINESS days from the date of order. Grudgingly, I waited another 2 full weeks before harassing them again. This time, I called up CS and asked what the deal was. They said they would look into it. Later that week, I get a call and the package was sent to an address other than the one on the packing slip. They told me they would cancel my order, re-submit it, and ship Express. My order came in two days, but my card was charged twice and I had to battle to get the cancelled order removed.

By my third order I learned that you have to get the expensive shipping because the USPS total lack of tracking numbers makes them a terrible delivery service. Everything came just as I expected it would, although it costs a fair amount of money.

My fourth order the wife bought me an IM Gold membership (free express delivery) becuase of the shipping troubles of the past (its her account- this will be important later), but I paid for it on my card. Everything arrived, I was able to track it on Airborne's website. Cool.

My fifth order was another fiasco. First, they told me that I didn't have a membership. After I told them that the membership was under a different name, they wouldn't honor it because the member name and billing name have to match. After sending them the email where it showed her name as the owner and mine as the cardholder along with another proof of purchase, they told me that they needed to put my name on it too. Fine, I don't care, I just wanted them to fix it. Then, after everything came off back order, I saw that it was shipped free, but using the USPS!!! I fired off an email to CS and asked them what I did to anger them becuase they love to screw up my orders and make me jump through hoops. Their reply was '...it was a computer error during processing.'

Huh? I told them that I had a Gold account, they have to manually override shipping and handling fees for these orders, and yet after providing two separate proofs of membership, they still screw it up and give me a token 'sorry... we messed up. Have a nice day.'

After $35 for a membership to get the good tracking capabilities I'd kind of like to get whats coming to me, but I see no satisfaction in my future because the magic 8-ball told me so. Don't take my rant as a reason to not shop UG, because their product is quality and a good price. I'm just wondering if they have me red-flagged as the guy to mess with when he orders.

Wow! thanks for posting. Although I've had no problem with my many orders with UG, I'm in Canada and I expect shipping to take time so I never track it. Sounds like they really are having some admin problems though.

You're right, the products are quality goods, but I've had another report that they've messed up in shipping. I know they make good on their mistakes, but maybe some compensation is in order when these screwups take place.

This is exactly what the USG site and these forums were originally intended - to let us comsumers know which companies are good to deal with.

Hopefully they'll eventually read the forums here and realize that they need to make some changes - or on the other hand get the kudos they deserve when someone posts something good.

I've ordered from Undergear for years and have always found them prompt and helpful. I usually ask them to ship it regular mail and I'm often surprised how quickly it arrives, sometimes as quickly as one week from the time I order.
