Every other site seems to have polls going on about the American election coming up next week (thank god it's almost over!). So here's our chance to vote - except we're going to vote on what matters:
Tell us who you'd rather see in their undies? Also back it up with a guess as to what style Bush and Kerry wears.
Personally, I think it's slim pickings, but I picked Kerry. As to what they wear, I'm betting on loose boxers for Bush and tighty whities for Kerry.
and I'm voting for John Kerry!

ok, one of you guys didn't vote!! And don't forget, this is only about who you'd rather see in their undies.

Well, just for the record, I'm voting for Kerry, BUT. . . . . I do not consider the thought of either man in his undies to be particularly palatable! Another non-voter (at least in THIS poll!),

Well since I can't vote in the US polls I voted for Kerry in this one  But agree with the others - not interested in seeing either of them strutting their stuff in their underwear......

What? Not even a write-in choice? :) You are right, I don't think of either one of these men in that way, so I can't really vote based on that choice alone, though if I *had* to do so, it would probably be the only vote Bush would get out of me. Somehow, at some level, he does seem the more "attractive" of the two men on a strictly physical level, if you put a picture of the two of them side by side and I presumed I had no inkling who these guys really were. On the other hand, if it is true what they say, then John Kerry does have a BIG nose. ;)
I'd have to vote Kerry anyway, since his running mate, John Edwards, IS someone I'd like to see in his undies, and there's always that remote chance he'd end up running things if something truly awful happened to Kerry should he win the election. (fingers crossed)

nutmuzzler, what a truly BRILLIANT idea! OK, then, my write-in vote for who I would best like to see in his undies would have to be Ashton Kutcher, wearing snug, spotless white briefs. . . . . unfortunately, you're right about the president. . . those Bush boys are all into fitness, and so if you twisted my arm REALLY hard, and I had absolutely NO other choice, I guess I'd have to pull the lever (ahem!) for the prez. . . . but ONLY in the undie poll!

Who was it over there who recently bitched to the media about Ashton's ....ahem, ....size!!!
The bitch was lucky to even get NEAR him, but when "dropped", did the sour grapes thang!
As for your poll?
deusex, ...PLEASE don't take me there! WAY too scary to contemplate, ...even for me!
There's only one thing that would be MORE of a turn-off, ....and that would be seeing little Johnny Howard in whatever dross he wears under his suit. I hope he's a secret women's panties wearer...!
Regards from THE BONDSMAN, .....and please pass the Alka-Selzer!

Although I can't shed any light on Ashton's. . . . ahem, just what do you suppose the distinguished Mr. Howard DOES wear under there? He probably is a secret womens' panties wearer. . . . . and I'll bet, the Boxer King of Australia, to boot! :)

Well I'm betting it's either a hair-shirt and a chastity belt, ....or a permanently implanted John Howard signature dildo that vibrates ONLY to the extreme RIGHT!
Powered of course by "Fundamental" batteries that can be relied on to go on and on and on..........with no abort facilities!
Colour of course, would NOT feature,.....thus ruling out any gay designs....an NO fly at all. He won't let ANYTHING out of detention, ....and the unemployed can't get out anyway.
There would, of course, be NO freedom at all in the front, with a VERY tightly closed back that doesn't allow anything out (hence he's full of it!),.... and only opens for his best mate, "Dubbya" to shaft him.
Please make life at least bearable here and make sure his pin-up boy gets the chop!
Loved the way Kerry told our Johnnie to "butt-out"!

Just returned from the polls, where I cast my vote for Kerry as President of the United States, Commander-in-Chief, and Leader of the Free World. There are a couple of caveats: this election ought to be a squeaker; will doubtless be challenged in numerous state and federal courts; and Kerry's Iraq policy will probably be the same as W's, though hopefully executed more competently.
And on another note--and I'm sure I speak for the Bushies, as well as the Kerryites--I'm truly humbled by the interest shown by the whole world in this election. You guys may not get to vote in our elections, but your very presence on this site indicates that your countries belong to that Free World of which our president is the putative leader. . . . so I cast my vote, not just as an American, but also as a proxy, for those many who may not be able to vote in our elections, but whose lives are affected, for good or for ill, by the actions which my government takes.
And now there is nothing more to do than to follow the election returns as they begin to trickle in, and then the almost inevitable court challenges. . . looks like Ohio, even more than Florida, may this time turn out to be the flashpoint.
Hope this turns out to be one for the good guys!

John, as a fully paid up member of the "Free World", (such as it is!), I thank you for your vote on our behalf.
Unfortunately as I write this here, due to time differences, we have learned that your Dubbya has ridden to an easy victory on the conservative religious anti-gay (and just about everything else) vote.
Horrible sense of deja-vu here in Oz, ...we have just seen the same thing happen in our own politics.
Those guys have really organised themselves and are running unchecked at present, ...here and over there.
Now I don't know about you all , but I'm all for nuking Ohio into oblivion!
Or at least searching it for weapons of maths instruction...! They can't add up it seems.
We of the rest of the world are TOTALLY amazed that a country of your size can let ONE state decide who will be your president!
We see here on the map that ALL of the West Coast went for Kerry, the northern section of the east coast and the states on the northern border too, ....except damn OHIO of course!
And the huge bits in the centre all went Bush!
I am NOT wearing my white briefs in celebration as we planned, ...I can tell you!
Well guys, we can both stand by for an early assault on abortion, then on gays, (who are of course, ALL paedophiles, according to them!!!), and a return to MOM and apple-pie politics, while big business plunders anywhere with resources left.
Still, Dubbya hasn't won an easy job. USA faces precarious challenges in so many areas.
Far too many flag-draped coffins returning home already...
(ONE was too many!)
Remember that sign? "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"?
Dubbya better deliver something, ...but I'm betting it's going to be a tough job!
The one bright note? BARACK OBAMA in Illinois! He destroyed Republican opponent homophobe Alan Keyes who repeatedly openly expressed his hatred for gays and gay life-style. Good on you Barack, ....and he's only the third black man to be voted into the Senate. So I'll forgive him the Christian thing, ...after all, he actually admits to experimenting with cocaine and other drugs as a youth. Bet he DID inhale!
Oh, and full points to Illinois for showing the guts to choose wisely.
On a lighter note, I was actually going to post a pic of me in a pair of "Stars & Stripes" briefs here if the results went the other way because I felt so strongly, but I somehow just don't feel like celebrating now.
( The briefs were a present from one of your countrymen, .....OTT of course, but fun sometimes! I'll save 'em for another hopefully happier occasion.)
Commiserations guys!...well to all you Democrats anyway!
And thanks for the big effort JohnH!

I can also say I'm disappointed, but it wasn't an "easy" victory, after all 49% still voted against Bush. With any luck, he'll think about the fact that half of his people don't like where he is going before he acts.
Many feel that sneaking the gay marriage vote on 11 of the states was a cheap trick to sway the vote, and I happen to agree.
Although it's a bit hopeful, I read somewhere yesterday that the Dems will be getting a Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama team ready for the next one. What a team that would be, but I'm not convinced that America is ready to elect a woman president yet.
Oh well, life goes one - at least we have underwear to distract us for the next four years.

Well this can be looked at the opposite because some states were on the ballet to vote and it was taking off. And voted on in Sept.

You're right thongs4guys, I guess there's always more than one way to look at things. The fact is, Bush won and now we'll all see what happens in the next four years. I bet it will be interesting to say the least.

Bush got over 3.500.000 votes more than Kerry.
Bush called it one of the biggest victories EVER in American history.
It's obivous that minorities can't mobolise jack shit.
Rock against Bush and all that crap.
In Europe all we got (on tv) was people NOT being happy with W. as US president. All kinds of minorities mobilising everybody to go vote. And what's the end result, BUSH got alot more popular than in 2000.
Well good luck.

deusex--I wish I could take some comfort in the fact that 49 % voted against Bush--but I'm afraid that I can't. Four years ago, a slight majority voted for Gore (who lost anyway due to our Electoral College system--if you check our Constitution, you'll find that it makes NO MENTION WHATSOEVER of a popular vote), but Bush attempted to govern as if he had a mandate. And unfortunately, because his party controlled both Houses of Congress (as it does today), he was largely successful.
However, I've just got to take issue with one thing you mentioned: the possibility that the Democrats may nominate Hillary Clinton in 2008. That may well happen. Most Democrats I know want it to happen. But it would result in another Republican victory. NOT primarily because Hillary Clinton is a woman, but because she is a socialist. And I want to make it plain that I use that term as a descriptive, NOT as a pejorative! Many countries have opted for at least a quasi-socialist form of government, and remain free and vibrant societies. Long ago, however, the United States chose another path. Hillary Clinton is virtually unelectable by reason of her political beliefs only, and if the Democrats are smart, they'll take this to heart, and choose another candidate. Unfortunately, history argues against Democratic wisdom in choosing presidential candidates!

I think perhaps your own Secretary of State COLIN POWELL said it best in an urgent phone call to British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw.
When Powell was asked about the mental state of senior members of the Bush Administration, he offered the following astute diagnosis:
"They're all f--king crazies!!!"
Now he's on the inside of the Bush mob and in the perfect position to know, ....so I'm kinda inclined to believe him.
I'm also VERY inclined to believe Powell will now be shown the door, either by the "crazies", or he'll "voluntarily" depart.
Yup, what did I tell you!
What does amaze me is the uncanny similarity our two countries' governments are assuming, right down to composition, and agenda.
At this very moment here the Christian fundamentalists are pushing to impose their views on the rest of us, ...especially on so-called "family-values".
( A term that always makes me reach for my shot-gun, ...or maybe just retch! LOL!)
Now I don't have to tell you, .... you all know very well just what this means. Abortion and gay rights are for the chop, ...so to speak. And that's only the start.
We are all in for interesting times!

I would never see Bush in his anyway. The only place I'd want to see them would be over his head so I wouldn't have to look at that forced smile that doesn't work.
