just curious if these undies or swim suits tend to fit small or big? i know most speedo type suits fit small and it's best to buy the next size up. i have a 31/32 waist and on the site it says 32/33 is a medium. on another site it says 33/34 is medium. i wear a size 34 medium in speedo, but i'm afraid if i go medium in aussiebum it will be way too big. any help please.

Hey unregistered! Don't want to discourage you from posting, but your last few posts were in the Show and Tell area so I moved them to the shopping forum. The show and tell area is for guys posting pics and comments on the photos the post.

I'm sure someone with AussieBum experience will pipe up in answer to your question!

The point about aussiebums is that they are deliberately cut a little loose, especially in the front. This is partly because they are almost all made of nylon, not lycra...they are designed to avoid the flattening squashing effect that Speedo speedos can sometimes create. That's why they look so hot!!

Don't be fooled by the name "loose'" that they use for some of their designs - it doesnt mean they are baggy and saggy!

There's a Size Chart on the Aussiebum website and my experience has been that you can rely on it to be absolutely accurate.

Further, their service is so good that if you receive something from them that is not quite the right size they will send you another right away without any fuss at all. And they are really really quick.

I hope you get some aussies and post some pics of them when they arrive!

i have a 31" waist and also find it difficult to pick the right size swimwear and underwear - sometimes a small fits me perfectly and other times a medium does.

as for aussiebum - their size 16 which is for 32"-33" fits me really well. i bought the loose bells beach for last summer.

here's a link to the pictures that i posted a while back:

Got to agree with the other replies. Aussiebums swim togs are meant to be tight on the bum and "loose" on the front. I'm 33" but find the large (size 18) fit me best the medium are too tight on the front.
