Actually, I'm pretty comfortable in anything, with the exception of thongs and g-strings, which for some reason, I always tend to associate with Devo (OK, as far as I know, the band members never actually wore thongs or g's--nor am I particularly anxious to find out!-- but I will fess up that for a very short period of time, I DID try these interesting garments, and that that period just happened to coincide with my Devo period. . . .
Now, I note that you're from the UK, and inasmuch as we are, as the Bondsman often reminds us, nations divided by a common language, I have to ask for a clarification on the word "jocks." Here in the U.S., that word normally applies only to jockstraps. And since I do sometimes wear jockstraps as underwear, I did check that option. However, I'm aware that in other parts of the Anglosphere, "jocks" can--most often does--refer to your basic, white, fly-fronted briefs. Which I also wear. So you might wish to clarify your usage of the word in this particular instance!
Fun poll, and I enjoyed it very much. I'm also looking forward to learning what our other board members prefer. Thanks so much! :) :)

For sleeping, I prefer boxer briefs; under clothing, I generally prefer white, classic, fly-front briefs. I’ll occasionally wear colored briefs, however, when the mood strikes me—or when all my white pairs are in the laundry and I’m left with nothing but my colored pairs.

So why don't you simply buy more WHITE pairs? You can NEVER have too many you know!!!
Any true underwear lover would relish your situation, .....a chance to go underwear shopping! Is there anything closer to an underwear lover's heart, ....or indeed a few other places? ;)

I regret you didn't include low rise briefs because there is a whole world of styles between thongs and briefs. That is usually where I am though I have quite a fewthongs and a few tighty whities.

I like to wear really minimal underwear, and when I'm out partying the more minimal the better. Right now my favourite everyday wear has to be a Hom3001 thong in jungle print, which is well-cut, comfortable and copes well with changes within. Looks good, too - at least I think so!

I wear colorful, silk bikini briefs all the time. They are incredibly sexy....comfortable too. I'm wearing a green pair now that I came in this morning. I keep looking for new colors and get an instant hardon whenerver I try a new color on. Silk stretches nicely to accomodate my early morning erections and I just love jerking off in them before getting up and taking a shower. Red is my favorite color and love showing it off whenever and where ever I can. Shit, writing this reply is getting me hot once again.

If this works, I'm posting an opinion from another underwear forum.
This one is prefaced by my saying that I've always liked boxers, even when I was the only guy wearing them. Formerly straight, now bi, and enjoying being a bottom, and I like being a bottom. I seem to not want to fit in boxes. This quote is from "weedge".
"I agree with the most recent about "fitting into boxes" whatever the subject.
There is, however, a survey I had seen recently among men 21 - 35 years old which shows that "straight" men overwhelmingly prefer boxers while gays are much more likely to wear skimpier underwear. This is particularly noted with bikinis, thongs and "women's panties" where virtually no "straights" admit to wearing any of the above three.
But, a poll is a poll is a poll and to generalize too much is a mistake like saying "women all want to be able to have a choice on abortion" or "all Catholics oppose gay marriage."
The above survey probably is correct overall, but as in all surveys, ignores individuals and individuality."
