For those who wear cockrings I have a question.
Do they cause extra screening or body scan?

YES !!! and if you are a flaming liberal who cares not about flaunting your given rights and preferrences in the faces of others (never mind what is polite), then you would have no problems, however, for others with some sense of personal appropriateness, it can be extremely awkward (and costly in time delays, not to mention the arrival of S.W.A.T. teams at the scene) "explaing" the beeping noise when they wand scan next to Your "wand". Even MORE embarassing is to "remove all objects" before you can get a clear scan. Experience can be a difficult lesson. Trust me. Been there, done that, won't EVER happen again.

Aren't there any non-metal cockrings? Also, wouldn't this be a question for the U.S. Homeland Security Department? (Just kidding.) ;)

I've recently discovered that COLT (the hugely popular gay male site) also makes rubber thongs just for this reason. I just ordered a few. I love the 2" size, sort of like a comfortable wedding ring for me.
