Well, I promised that if things got out of hand with non-registered users, I'd take away the ability of non-registered users to post messages.

There's some asshole posting absolute nonsense news and political articles all over the board, so the time has come....

I'm sorry to all our non-registered users, but I'm left no choice. Non-registered users will no longer be able to post messages. Non-registered users will still be able to view all the posts and photos and still vote, but they just won't be able to post photos, post messages, have profiles, have user galleries, and basically utilize this site the way it was designed.

As I've always maintained (and the regular members will back me up here) I respect everyone's privacy, I don't use your information, I don't send out email to users. This site is for me as much as it is for all of you - a place where a bunch of like minded guys, straight and gay, can hang out, show off, and discuss underwear and swimwear. It's a community, and quite an amazing one at that.

So if you find yourself coming back to the site, over and over, please consider registering and becoming a "full" active part of this site and community.

Way to go deusex, ....you have made the only sensible decision under these trying circumstances. All sites seem to eventually attract some of the lunatic fringe. Bravo for tackling this one!

Just want to say that I'm right behind you on this one deusex. It's a shame that you should have to deal with this sort of stuff.

I come here for a reason and for one reason only, because it's an UNDERWEAR site, and while I'm about it, ONE OF THE BEST !!! Any posts about politics etc. are not gonna interest me here, so I'm not gonna miss out on much. If I wanted to read that stuff I'd find an appropriate site, although there ain't many out there I come to as much as this one.

And for those that are unregistered - take the plunge - dive in and join us. As I've said elsewhere, and anyway you can all read it in the posts yourselves - it's a great friendly bunch of guys and all fully supportive of each other.

And as deusex says - you can give out as much info or as little as you want, you're not gonna get abused, and I'm sure deusex through his valued time and efforts will work to ensure it remains that way. You can post as often or as little as you want, but join, and become part of the group, and I'm sure you'll find like I did, that sharing and giving is so much more a pleasurable experience than simply receiving.

So go on - be a devil - join, and submit a post, or dare I say it, even a pic. You never know you might get to like it, and they're probably be many others of us who'll like it even more !!

PJ.

I have to say that I strongly agree with deusex 100%. It's a turn off for me to have to hear any kind of political issues. I have not been a member for long but, you know what? I do find myself, coming back for more and more! I feel that I've found a site that does not judge you in any way! You don't have to watch what you say. I've felt welcomed by some of you and for that I thank you! You know that I've never been able to express myself to anyone that could understand! I've had the opportunity to share stories with some registered members whom enjoy hearing about others experiences! For this freedom, I thank all of you whom are involved with this wonderful site!

Thanks for the support guys!

Just to clarify what it was that set me off - it was a chinese site that I figure was using a bot (automated program) posting news articles - some of them were about bush, some were about fashion - they were random and had nothing to do with underwear or any unifying topic. At the bottom of the articles were a bunch of links to websites that contained more links. My guess is that they function as a device to fool the search engines in thinking that their links are more popular. (One of the way google determines what links are more important and thusly puts them at the top of the search results)

As you know, we do sometimes go off topic, it's the nature of a message board and that I have no issue with it if it's within reason (the uncut/cut issue is/was an example) I'm sometimes the instigator of these off topics posts.

Regardless, it may seem a bit slower here, but in time the numbers will build I'm sure.

I have to agree with everyone else here. Although I don't post too often, I do visit regularly to either read or view what others have posted. I too am here for the main purpose of this board and that is the subject of underwear. If I want political debate or anything else for that matter, I can find it on any one of the many other sites out there on the world wide web. Deusex, thank you for keeping this board intact and also to the many members that share their pictures and opinions. This is an UNDERWEAR site and although there is a wide variety of styles to choose from, we all wear it, unless you like to go commando. Deusex, we support you!

You have my full support on this one deusex.

This community is one of the best I have had the chance to become a part of and I truly love the site and also your other site un.der.wear.com, it's fantastic having such a vibrant underwear community like this one. Keep up the good work.
