National Underwear Day

Don't get me wrong, this sounds like fun and if I were there I would find it a hoot.

I can't help thinking, though, there are 3 reasons you don't see people in underwear even in hot weather:

1) They personally don't feel comfortable with being nearly undressed in public.
2) Their workplace would not allow it.
3) They are not legally allowed to, or they are unsure just what is permissible by law.

In most cases it would be a combination of these reasons.
In any case I have the feeling that NYC is somewhat more conservative than, say, Perth. OK, you do not see people walking around here in underpants, but to see them in shorts without a shirt is quite common in hot weather. In a public park they might strip to underwear to sunbathe. And of course at the beach you can see all states of dress or undress.

In any case, having marched in the Sydney Mardi Gras parade wearing only a thong, I do not feel as if I am missing out on anything!

As an Underwear fetish site owner, and soon to be underwear store owner, It would be foolish for me not to support this. I mean, it's worth a try is it not?

Any chance to see more exposed underwear is worth the effort in my book. Besides, as conservative as the US is, there are pockets of liberalism. New York is certainly one of those places. If it's going to happen anywhere, NY would be the place!
