I always check out the underwear section in a menswear store - these days they have such sexy pics on the boxes. Needless to say I always have a hard-on in my thong. My best experience was seeing a good-looking youngish guy pick up a see-thru nylon bikini brief from a display and take it to the checkout. I would have to have helped him try it on.

My best experience was seeing a well built 28 year old (I'm guessing) buying an orange thong. He was looking around to make sure no one seen and I rushed to the cashier to stand behind him. He had it under some shirts and his ears were red when she held it up for scanning.

I'm always curious as to what type of underwear the other guys wear. I must say that I have yet to witness anyone else buying a thong .... even seeing someone with a package of bikinis is rare.

I used to work in a menswear section of a BIG department store on Oxford Street in London (I hope you know the one I mean).

We used to let guys try underwear on in the changing rooms. I'm not sure what the policy is now as this was about 10 years go.

I loved helping guys with their selections. Some were destination shoppers (they'd go in, buy what they want and leave soon after).

The browsers were the best though. They didn't know what waist size they were, what style they need for sport etc.

I used to feed them a line "if you're carrying out sporting activities, you need extra support, something with cotton and lycra".

Hmm, I loved it there!!

A few guys wanting to impress their girlfriends used to try them on then ask you for an opinion. I'm so wished I could wear a double-breasted suit to hide the boners I used to get all the time.;)

A year or so ago, I bought a few skivvies while on vacation, and found that in Paris and Madrid, they generally let you try it on only if you have your original underwear on. In Montreal they do as well. They seem to treat the skivvies like swimwear, and allow customers (especially foreign speaking tourists) to put the skivvies on for size over their original underwear. It's really quite liberating.

In some stores, they have a "sample" rack, which you can try on, and then if you decide to buy it, you can get a fresh pair.

I've notice that on top of packaging showing more more men tend to by the more revealing. I've noticed at the gym I go to more men are wearing string bikini's,thongs or jocks rather than boxers. I've kind of hung out in the underwear section to dream o f what kind of underwear a guy buys. One day this hot looking guy picks ups a package of the "Life" Thong at my local Walmart I was about to pick some up as he was looking at them when I guess his girlfriend comes and he shows them to her. She told him to go for them I wish I had the guts to suggest other thongs. I like the Life thong but It's doesn't fit as well as My joe boxer thongs.

While it would be nice to be able to try on underwear before buying, I am quite happy with the policy that prohibits trying on underwear or swimwear (except over your own that you are already wearing).

This is enough to let you know whether the fit is what you want. Plenty of time at home to enjoy the feel of your new purchase against your skin.

Not being into piss and shit, the idea of wearing something that has already been tried on by dozens of guys, with varying standards of hygiene, does NOT appeal to me at all.

I remember being in Italy and going to the beach. I stopped at a mens store to pick out a swimsuite. The salesman came into the dressing room several times with different suites and sizes for me to try on, even watched me undress from swimsuite to swimsuite. It was very hot, had a boner at the end. I ended up buying several speedo type suites that morning even though I only needed one. I wish the salesmen here in the states would give us that kind of service.

great to be in this group. i never felt as free as i do now knowing that there is a site to post ones feelings about briefs with like minded indivuals. I love shopping for briefs, i will go to either a gay establishment where the atmoshphere is more open and fun or i will go to adepartment store where it is more secretive. i enjoy both experiences. although i do like watching straight men or any man buying underwear. i get turned on, and i like it when i am watching a guy in the underwear section and he is opening the box and looking to see in anyone is watching and then opens the box and puts his hand in and feels the fabric, then if he likes the texture then he will look around and then if the coast is clear then he will pull the underwear out. at this point i like it when if he feels confindent then he will put them over his waist area to see if he likes them or not,maybe look in the mirror.this is what i enjoy when i go shopping at the mall. i also like it when i go to the mall downtown and i know the guy who works there only as the guy who works there and we both enjoy my purchase, he always greets me and comments on my choice of underwear and asks me if i seen the new style out for the season, but he knows i already did.he flirts a bit and makes my shopping experience a good one. he also tells me when a new launch will arrive and if it is a limited edition. i love going shopping for underwear. it used to scare me when i was younger(i was shy) but know i enjoy my brief freedom. uh anyway i am happy to be a member and am happy to meet you.germy :blowme : :)

No offence intended to the guys here who are into such above mentioned things, but there are just so many other infections and parasites one could easily pick up from the "everyone try it on" policy.
The regulations AGAINST trying on underwear were put in place for very good reasons.
I know it's often hard to gauge fit and comfort, ...and I too have bought some expensive mistakes, but I'd FAR rather do that than come home with a case of "seafood", ......or veruccas in intimate regions!

We may come from the same country Bondsman, but you occasionally use some slang expressions that somehow have passed me by. It might be wise though for me not to ask for a detailed explanation.
