I am sure I posted a message in this section about myself and my interests - which is the kind of message the Posting Guidelines say is suitable for this section. I am also sure there were several similar messages from other members. My message, and most of the others, seem to have disappeared.

Please Mr. deus, what is going on here?

I found a posting by you in this same topic area dated June 29th. I think I know where your topics have gone. They are still on the board, just in view, depending on your settings. If you look down below at your "Display Options", you will probably notice that your original post is older than what you have set to display.

Thanks skimpybrfs for answering this question! I was away for the weekend.

SweatyAussie, Most of the forums will only display the last month of posts by default. You can either change this permanantly in you UserCP or also as you view each forum, there's a setting on the forum page under "display options" but you'll have to reset this every time you visit.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, guys.

A suggestion: while in most cases it makes sense to have a user-specified cutoff date, it seems to me that this kind of info (About Myself) does not really have a use-by date, and should really be a "sticky" thread. Is there a way to make this happen?

It would be even better if one were able to put this kind of message as part of one's profile, since it is basically profile information. Then it would always be accessible to any member, and you could edit it or delete it when you wished.
