What do you wear for sleeping? Matt and I wear briefs or bikinis during the day. He prefers to wear boxers for sleep ("Gives me better access", he says) :) ,althought I stick with my briefs or bikinis then too. How about you?

I have to sleep nude if I'm going to make it through the night. If I wear anything tight to bed, that 'morning erection' usually wakes me up in the middle of the night, straining to get out. If the object is "sleep, just an overly large clean white T-shirt for me, ......and nothing on below. As, like many others here, I associate underwear with the sexual charge, I find it difficult to get to sleep while wearing any....and I don't think it does any harm for our sexual bits to be unconfined for a while.
However, if the objective in being in bed is for more interesting pastimes, then I'll definitely be wearing whatever underwear is doing it for me, (or my partner), at the time.

The last few weeks I have been wearing long boxers - down to my knees. I am having a big owl tattooed on my right thigh; from my hip down to my knee, inclusive the background. So far I had two tattoo sessions and I think that two more sessions are needed to complete the tat. As long as my owl is "under construction" I am wearing these boxers in order to keep the sheets as clean as possible. I think that I will be back to nude sleeping as soon as my owl is done.

I voted "nude". It is the closest to truth. In fact, when I am alone I prefer sleeping naked, but sometimes I am wearing a boxer and/or a T-shirt. I like the loose feeling in bed. When I am with a mate, it differs: sometimes it starts with whatever we are wearing; sometimes wearing nothing. We allways wake up completely naked.

Me I aways wear footed sleepers to bed, I have a bad leg with circulation problems, due to an accident, and that is the only thing that keeps my foot warm, I used to wear a union suit,(Dou Fold), but it did nothing for my feet.

Being a small guy I can get away with wearing a kids sleeper, don't laugh untill you try it, if you just want to sleep its great, best sleep I have had in a long time....

From October to April I usually sleep in a union suit. (My wife's always pulling off the covers. Unfortunately it's tough getting her to pull off my union suit.) In the summer it's usually briefs or boxer-briefs. :cool:

I always sleep nude, I have since I was a kid. Briefs are too binding at night to me: my dick needs to be unrestricted for the nightly hard-ons. Boxers seem to shift around too much.

I wore traditional white full-cut boxers during my service in the US Navy, and served at sea for six of my eight years. We had curtains around our racks (bunks), so at night I would would hit the rack (go to bed) wearing my boxers. Then after pulling my curtains shut I would take off my boxers and put them under my pillow. This was a common practice for a lot of the guys in my berthing compartment. In the mornings I would see quite a few guys crawling out of the racks naked and they would head strait for the shower. In my memory there was no rule forbidding anyone from sleeping nude, but in a military environment discretion is always the rule of the day. It couldn't be a big deal anyway because the shower compartment in the head (bathroom) had no privacy stalls (it was open like most locker-room showers).

I saw a lot of morning erections! The same etiquette applies as though you are in any public locker room. You just pretend not to notice them and act as though it's absolutely normal, which it is. In a military environment you are required to immediately arise from your rack (bunk), there is no time allowed for waiting for your hard-on to subside. The military logic behind this is so the ranking enlisted man can see that everyone is alive and well. Yes, sometimes my dick would be standing tall for all to see. :D

One interesting thing I observed is that the men who were married seemed to be embarrassed more easily than the single men. Single men live on the ship full-time, while married men of course lived off base with their wives while in our home port. The ratio of married to single in the berthing compartment seemed to be about 50:50. The compartment housed 81 men in a very cramped space with racks stacked three high. The first thing you would do after emerging from your rack would be to put on shower shoes (rubber thong sandals), grab a towel, and head for the shower in the adjoining compartment. You would pass by the laundry locker and throw your underwear in the hamper. The married men tended to remove their underwear at the locker and immediately rap their towel around their waists. The single men tended to remove their underwear at their racks (if they were wearing them), put the towel around their necks and walk to the shower naked, tossing their undies in the hamper as they pass by. The head (bathroom) was another cramped space, so you would have to wait in line to use the toilets, sinks, and showers. :(

Underwear on our ship was required to be white. They were all washed together and color dyes could stain the whites. You were required to have boxer shorts, even if you chose to wear briefs. Boxers were on our Captains list of required uniform apparel, so they were required for inspection. Yes, the division Chief would check your waistband to make sure before command inspection. :eek:

I wore boxers all the time during my tour of duty, even under my civilian clothes. I think as a young man it was the macho thing to do, just like the men I had seen in old war movies. To me, boxers were better too in the warm tropical environments. The air flow helped keep the crotch dry and prevent jock-itch. Even in cooler climates, my ship was designed in the 1950's and the air conditioning and ventilation system seemed to frequently crap out. :)
