Thong Jock vs Traditional Jock

Starting a serious workout program next month. I'm getting geared up for the long haul, but I've run into a problem. In the past I have worked out on a machine, and really did'nt need to worry about support. Now however, I'm starting with free weights, and will need that extra support. In the past I wore swimmers jocks and found them the most comfortable. However, in looking at whats available now, I see that there are some thong style jocks. Then there is the N2N sheer, but I'm not sure if that offers the support. I'm a bit apprehensive about the thong, would love to wear the N2N, and was looking for some input from those who might have some experience and advice to offer.

PS, the shorts are spandex if that makes a difference!

Why are you apprehensive about wearing a thong AZ? I think you can pretty much pull anything off and beat anybody up if they say anything! The N2N sheer would be sexy but maybe not that supportive....what about the N2N slinky? Why not try the thongjock.....it is made to be a supportive jock, just with a thong back instead of straps........especially with the spandex shorts (yummy)you won't have the jock lines.....plus you'll have the added bonus of having that hot strap up your ass! I say go for it man.

I personally prefer the look and feel of a classic jockstrap. I usually find that a swimmer's jockstrap offers more tha ample support for most things one does in a gym. The only time more support is needed is more vigourous sports. I would stay with the classic jockstrap.

I've worn both a thong and regular jock for exercise and found them to be about equal. If you want to show more, the jock would be the way to go, for under spandex.

I found that true years ago. I just haven't been in the locker room in quite a while, and I wasn't sure about how the thong was viewed. I have a microfiber thong that is really supportive. I was tempted to wear that, but here again, not quite sure how they are viewed in the locker room. Course then again, if going au'naturel on a beach, or wearing speedo's doesn't bother me, then why should this. Probably because it's been a long time, and I'm not really sure.

I personaly like the looks and feel of the good ole Jock, (Not the designer ones). I always go to gym and get out of street cloths and change into my jock and shorts. Not many guys have them on at gym anymore, so i do get some eyes looking at me.

Just an update... I've worn Thongs, thong jocks, support briefs, and traditional jocks. The results from the classic jock have been astounding. The thongs have yielded a few interesting encounters as well. However, I guess the site of the leg straps under spandex is a real turn on for some, and as such has kept me quite busy in and out of the gym! :D

I know what jocks are - I have got used to the idea that most guys here use the word "jock" as short for "jockstrap". I know what a thong is.

Can someone please define "thong style jocks"? This seems a contradiction in terms. I would have said that the pouch must be held in place somehow, by a strap either passing UNDER the arse cheeks, or up the arse crack. In the former case I would call it a jockstrap, in the latter case a thong.

So what is a thong style jock? Help. someone, please!

Safe T Guard makes the traditional jock and a thong jock. To answer your question for comparison, the thong jock is of the same fabric and waistband of the traditional jock, but instead of the two leg straps, it has one strap that goes up down the rear to attach to the bottom of the pouch. Guess that means I will have to buy one these thong jocks to model. I found those images to post in order to show what a thong jock looked like. As you already know, I do have the standard jock.

Thanks for the compliments about my PIX. In the FIRST PIC I'm wearin' a STAFFORD STRAP (just like YOURS!). In the second PIC I'm STR8 UP coz I just got a new "GO SOFTWEAR" (bad name coz you can see it obviously does NOT make me 'SOFT'--LOL) 'NAVY' STRAP. I am sure it's called a 'NAVY STRAP coz the POUCH is always full of 'SEA-MEN'--LOL!!! :D :D :D :D

Glad to hear that you are gonna buy a THONG STRAP and post a PIC. Hope you will let ME do some INSPECTION on YOUR new 'THONG STRAP!!! UMMMMMM ;) ;) ;)
