Not sure where to post this, it's a TV ad, not a film, but there doesn't seem to be any section more appropriate...
A wonderful ad has just started on TV here (Oz) courtesy of - of all people - MacDonalds. It shows a group of young people playing around on the beach, throwing frisbees etc. It starts with one of the guys getting distracted by a couple of shapely girls in bikinis, thereby missing out on catching the thing - no surprises so far, all typical run-of-the-mill advertising directed at "normal" people - but then in the next scene one of the guys fixes his eyes on the rear of a superb hunk of male muscle, walking past in a yellow tanga. The muscles of his arse flex beautifully as he walks - this ad actually made me crack a hardon. The first guy is not watching where he is going, some sort of collision takes place and next we see him sprawled on the sand on top of this male hunk looking all apologetic.
If MacDonalds keep doing ads like this, I am ready to forgive them all their past sins.

Im not familar with MacDonald's unless you are referring to the food chain (which I dont think you are), what was the purpose of the commercial??? And what country is it in? They would never show anything like that in the US. Would they?

OZ, that's Australia and MacDonalds, how many MacDonalds are there ?

Yes I believe it was the food chain. Like most commercials, the content of the commercial has little or nothing to do with the product being advertised. I guess you were supposed to relate the free-and-easy summer lifestyle with eating at MacDonalds.
Country is Australia, I referred to it as Oz in my posting, but maybe you are not familiar with that slang.

Jack in the Box had a fellow jumping around in his classic white briefs.

Why am I seemingly the only one who misses these TV ads? Darn! Guess I shall have to cavort outside my house in my white (and soaked) briefs?

Well Im not seeing these commercials either.
I do remember seeing one when I was a kid for Hanes,
where they had one scene where a guy goes outside his house to pick up the morning newspaper, in his CLASSIC WHITE BRIEFS!!!!!!
I dont remember how old I was back then, but I was young enough to almost cum from just watching the commercial.

We've also got one here at the moment where a "bear"-type guy goes outside to pick up his morning paper and gets sprung by the next door neighbour (male) while he's wearing only white JOCKEY Low-rise briefs and ugh-boots. The his son comes to his rescue and lets him run inside.

Bondsman, bring on your camera! I shall gladly strut outside in my white briefs (soaked, of course!) for the camera. Will white Jockey y-fronts be acceptable? Perhaps the camera will see how horny I will be?

I am wondering if someone could record the commercial ad and then convert it to an avi or mpeg file for us to see in the states, for I seriously doubt it will ever hit the airwaves here.

I noticed over the years that in commercials and tv shows in general there's a slight shift from guys in briefs to guys in boxers. That's here in europe of course.
Years ago you would rather see a guy in briefs or even bikini's ... now there's more guys in boxers and boxer briefs.
It struck me, 'cause I saw this holiday brochure the other day for vacations in Australia and on the cover there was a guy in a speedo. More and more travelbrochures will have guys in boxers and shorts nowadays.
So people who make commercials are aware of it ... apparently.
I wonder who makes those decesions.

On one condition... that you allow me to inspect your thong!
Seriously though, I don't have the facilities to do this, but one of the other Aussie members might help you out. Maybe Macs are venturing into the soft porn market. It certainly beats watching that clown in the silly red hat.

My comments on this:
I think the makers of ads try to get the viewer to relate to the people in the ad, hence one expects the ad to feature people with very "normal" tastes, whatever that may be at the time. Hence the change from briefs to boxers, they are simply reflecting the change in what people are wearing.
In the case of Australia travel brochures featuring guys in speedos, however, both the fashion and the brand itself are known as an Australian icon, like Ayer's Rock and kangaroos. Likewise a brochure about Hawaii is likely to show women in grass skirts wearing leis.
I should add that there is some truth to the image of Australia as a land of Speedos. Certainly more guys are wearing board (bored!) shorts than in the past, but there are plenty of Speedo-clad bodies about. Hopefully SweatyAussie will be one of those bodies, if summer ever arrives here!

just read a new survey here in Oz, and for what it's worth, it reported that most Aussie men were comfortable wearing their speedos. I have noticed more and more guys are leaving off the HUGE bloody surf shorts that frequently come down to the ankles now, in favour of just wearing the speedos. How anyone can enjoy, ....or even survive a swim in those huge damn things is beyond me!

I've often wondered the same, Bondsman. As for the report you read, maybe the men in the US need to take a lesson from the Aussies. They shouldn't be so uptight about being seen in a Speedo ... I know I love wearing mine and I never hear any complaints!

Still, when it comes down to swimming you will see guys wearing speedo's or bikini's ... always ... over here.
I mostly go swimming, early in the morning and there's only people there for swimming, they got about half an hour (mostly before they go to work) and they are there for a swim ... not to play around with family and friends. And you will see men wearing speedo's ... just because that's what you wear when you swim ... it's impossible to have a decent swim wearing boardshorts and lockjammers.

An older movie "Federal Protection" has a guy lounging and fighting in a leopard skin nylon bikini. Then he gets shot in the head. :hump

Well I'll take your word for it. I never did have much of a head for fast food . And I had more interesting things to ponder while watching this ad than remembering which particular chain was being advertised.
I guess this says something about how effective - or ineffective - the ad was. Don't tell KFC though, or they'll remove the ad.
