Notice it claims that it's "the only underwear that allows a man to hang as nature intended"!
Now you've got to admit it's a fairly full-on pic for an underwear ad.

Doesn't surprise me at all!
About 80% of the flys on underwear are TOTALLY useless, and SO difficult and time consuming to even attempt to use, that any man would have either pissed himself, or given up before achieving anything near manoeuvring his cock out the tiny convoluted openings!
This particularly applies to so much so-called "designer" underwear.
And when so much of the stuff now is so low-rise as to resemble a rubber band around your hips, you cock virtually flops "over-the-top" all by itself!
In the boxerbriefs above in my post, there is quite a long rise between the pouch and the waistband, which would be up under the second waistband of your trousers if you were actually wearing them as underwear. After opening your zipper, you would certainly have to do quite a bit of fishing around to get your member out to either piss, or have anything else done to it.
Personally, I hate having to undo my zip, undo my belt, undo the top button in the waist of my jeans, lift up my shirt and hold down the waistband of my underwear to do something as simple and quick as taking a piss! It takes away one of the best advantages of being a man, and reduces us to the complicated and lengthy operations women have to go through when they need to urinate.
Hence, ......put in a useful, functional fly.
Besides, any guy here who doesn't immediately recognise the very interesting and highly erotic potential of having a fly front opening in a pair of men's underwear should hand in his "underwear lovers" card immediately! :D :D :D

As far as I am concerned, the purpose of a fly, whether consisting of zips or buttons, is to fasten the pants prior to doing up the final button. It's been a long time since I bothered trying to manouevre my member out through the fly rather than simply undoing the top button and unzipping all the way. "Linen", could be washed far more easily.
Therefore the tiny, very brief underwear we see today is actually a very modern concept, and not really very functional for the purpose.
