I may just be being rather thick today, but at enormous effort (although it was great fun :hump: ) I have just completed my latest cockbuster video entitled "White Jockeys the Vibtating Movie" but, it needs 10MB worth of space and my limit is 12MB.

However, I can't upload it because, I cannot seem to find out how to delete some of my other stuff - can you tell me how, I only seem to be able to upload and can't find a list of what is there so I can delete some of it to make the room.

Also, whilst on the help subject can you clarify whether or not pics that I add to posts here come out of my 'space allowance' - I assume not? I thought that since my gallery is now full again then maybe I could put a few with a post on the boards... they are especially for Bondsman :blowme:

Tom,

The total space is actually 12 megs, but the max media upload is 4 megs each. Those limits are there to keep the bandwidth costs down. We're going over the allotted bandwidth right now and paying for overages, but thanks to Vizeau and Frivole, their paid advertising is helping cover these extra costs.

As for deleting stuff, just go to your gallery, and click an photo (or video) and below that you'll see an admin area. There you can delete or move your photos.

if you want, upload the media to xtube (a porn version of you tube) and post the link, that will keep the bandwidth down and you have to register over there obviously and you cant view the vids if you aint registered.

You can post the xtube embedded codes here in the forums, but it won't work in the user galleries. If you do post the embedded video here, anyone can watch them. You only have to register with xtube if you want to use their site and search for videos (and post videos over there of course)

Also - the photos you post in the forums don't count in total you've used over on the user galleries.

I'm sorry Boss, I must seem as thick as brick but I cannot see how this thing works.............. I can find my gallery as punter but, not as 'Tom' so that I cannot get access to it delete things.

I can also find it by doing a search for the gallery, which gets me to the situation as I have described above - or, if I click on the gallery link from my profile I find there is nothing in it when it comes up despite having some stuff on the site.

Is it possible just to have "odd" pics\files on dispaly without having them in a gallery per se - is that what I have done?

Silly as this may seem I'm getting confused! Can you point me in the right direction and if so, what am I not doing or, doing wrong?

Whatever I do with the new vid, I think I need to sort out and update my stuff anyway.

Sorry to be pain in the (dare I say) ass ;)

I have no idea what you mean by "i can find my gallery as punter"

To get to your gallery, either go to the user galleries here:

http://www.usg-online.com/photopost2/ and click the "my photos" link toward the upper left of the page.

Or you can just go to this link:

http://usg-online.com/photopost2/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=3207

When you're on your gallery page, just click any of the thumbnails, and just below the photos (or video), you'll find the option to either select from a drop down box a gallery to move your photo (or video) to, or you can use the select box to indicate you want to delete the photo (or video) and finally hit the submit button.

You have to be logged in as "Tom" to do any of this. Just look at the top right of any page and if you see "welcome, Tom" then you're logged in. Othewise, type in your username and password and hit the submit button, then follow the instructions above.

I know it's a bit convoluted, but that's the fault of the software and not much I can do about it.

John.

Thank you...................... it was the "my photos" link that I was missing and the fact I had to open the pic to get the delete bit... thanks again.

The 'punter' bit was meant that all I was seeing was what I would get if I were a member of the viewing public say. UK slang, punter = user, customer type of thing!
:) Thanks
