Since you are in the US, no doubt you are using the word "jocks" to mean jockstraps. In which case I find it difficult to see how you could actually get a wedgie from the wearing of these.



The wedgie can be a form of torture practiced by bullies performed to humiliate someone, or a hilarious practical joke, depending on the context and the parties involved. It is inflicted when an individual, or group of individuals, grab the underwear of the victim from behind and pull up, causing the underwear to wedge between the buttocks. This is also considered a very, very painful experience. A wedgie is also what happens when a person's undergarments get bunched up and "ride up" between the buttocks, causing discomfort and annoyance. This can be caused by bad posture, awkward sitting or tight underpants.

Now since a jockstrap doesn't actually have any material at the back between the waistband and the lower straps to wedge between the buttocks as above, how is a wedgie possible?

Thongs, on the other hand, are a different story. :) The vertical backstrap gives the perfect wedgie.

Believe me SweatyAussie, I've seen some unfortunate poor guys who seem to be TOTALLY lacking any gluteus maximus muscles at all, ....NOT a good look BTW,..... who have no posterior cheeks to hold the straps under. This would allow them to slide to the centre and produce a wedgie I guess.

I've never experienced wedgies from my jocks except intentionally. Once in a while I will put the straps between my cheeks just for the feel of it. I have aslo sewn the straps together on one of my jocks so the wedgie is permanent with that strap on.

I dunno what happens in "OZ" but here in the States I've seen lots of evidence of "JOCKSTRAP WEDGIES" in the changing room of the club where I play racketball. Just the other day there was a "STRAP' that was hanging on a hook by the shower room and there was a MAJOR STAIN on the 'SWEET SPOT' (the place where the POUCH is JOINED to the ARSE STRAPS). That could only have resulted from a "WEDGIE". So, "JOCKSTRAP WEDGIES" do happen in the US. I guess you blokes in "OZ" are just more careful! :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
