Hi - can anyone remember which company it was who made "A-fronts" briefs? Must have been late 1950's to early 60's, I used to wear them as well as Y's.
I know M&S did this style, but who called their's "A's"

"Y-fronts" were patent then so no one except Jockey could make them. Not like now.

Allen "A"s were sold in the 50's
A similar avant garde design was made by Reis: "Scandals" in which an inverted "V" ran top to bottom from waistband to form a distinct pouch. I loved wearing these although the overlap was insufficient and it was not uncommon for my dick to fall out.
