You check your calendar and you see you've got a physical today. Do you keep a special pair for the event? If so, what?

The Doctor doesn't give a shit so it's all up to you.

Bravo. About time someone injected a dose of reality into this topic.

Some of you guys out there seem incredibly naive about doctors. You think they don't see people - young and old, male and female - in all states of undress as part of their daily grind? You might be thinking "Ooh, should I wear this to the doctor's, what will he think", whereas the doctor is probably thinking "Ho hum, another examination, that's the 22nd for today, time for a couple more before knockoff time". Stop kidding yourselves.

As Dayne has said, "The doctor doesn't give a shit",...and the doctor hopes you don't either!
All he's probably thinking is "I don't care what the hell he's wearing, just let it be CLEAN"!

I thought about what I said and will tell you a true story.

A Doctor that I knew both professionally and socially made the decision his wife would start transcribing his patient notes. This was a man who would never have considered cheating on his wife. He was active in the church I attended. Over a period of years I watched him truly live what he believed. (I personally was awe in this man. I saw humble himself one Sunday when he kneeled for the blessing of an older man when he became a deacon of the church. This was the same man I watched the night before called in to make a split decision about a patient with a head injury. ) It amused me one day at lunch when his wife told me he had told her not to be surprised when she came across comments like "nice breasts" and "shapely legs". He explained to her that he was a man and a normal human being and that he would be a liar if he didn't notice those things. He dealt with what he saw by making a note of it and then left it at that. His wife appreciated his honesty, accepted that her husband was a sexual being, did notice these things, and was never jealous. She'd have been more worried if he didn't.

The moral of this story is that, yes, some Doctor's, male and female, might notice what a guy is wearing. Do they have the time or desire to deal with it, probably not. But there can be exceptions and with that I will share one more true story.

I used to go to a public std clinic that had two Physician's Assistants. This was during the time of the sexual revolution of the 60's and 70's, and the majority of Dr's in town admitted that this was where you wanted to go for the best std treatment One of them was a hunk and a half who was happily coupled with the same, a helicopter pilot. After being there for about five years, he let people know he'd be moving out of state. Two days before he left, I went in for a regular std check. As I got ready to leave, he said hold on and told me to lay back on the examination table. I did so wearing only a pair of tight bikini's. He then walked over and buried his face in my crotch, pulled my underwear down with his teeth, and gave me head, incredible head at that. He said he'd wanted to do that for years and had told his partner he was going to if he got the chance at the end. He told me he used to look forward to what I'd have on when I dropped my pants!

So, I say the Dr's don't give a s--t. There are exceptions to the rule. but as a whole, most I know don't care. Good luck on finding out whether you may have found one of those exceptions as well!?!

Finally <*Sigh*> someone injected a dose of reality into this topic. First of all, does anyone want reality? Sweaty; Read this slowly. It is just entertainment.THIS is just entertainment. I'm 48 years old and I don't give a crap what my doctor thinks. He's a dumb and flawed as I am. Maybe I'd like to entertain his office staff? A physical exam requires a little parading around in front of a office staff. Maybe I'm a doctor who gets just a we bit of entertainment about what people wear. Look at this another way, maybe they look forward to something innocent and unusual. Hey at least give that ever present drug rep something to chuckle about.

After reading your comments; who would want vote on this crappy little poll.

Thanks bud, feel better? nice work.

Take away the sarcastic and abusive tone, and I might offer a reply.

As it is, I am not going to bother. You are entitled to disagree with what I say, but if you can't do so politely, you shouldn't post.

Wow, I just read my post to SweatyAussie. I'm very sorry I reacted so poorly and wrote what I did. I was certainly mean and sarcastic and I'm truly sorry.

Fair enough, apology accepted and let's say no more about it.

I generally wear tight bikini or very tight boxer, and I don't find any reason to change my dressing habits because I'm going to see my doctor. I don't like thongs or g strings very much. If I feel like to wear something different under my pants, I prefer jock straps....but I guess never would visit my doctor with such undergarment on, maybe I considere that at 42, I'm not so young yet (Yes, I must admit I'm still shy).
