As for me, I still shave my bod (all but the pubes) because it became a habit. I have had my share of foul remarks, but my share of positive comments as well.

Why?
A/ Because I love hairy men and being hairy.
B/ I do NOT want to turn my whole body into a "beard"!
C/ I dislike the very uneven texture and the "lumpiness" that repeatedly shaven skin develops.

Although I voted 'No' in the original poll, I did have to have a pubic shave once prior to an operation in hospital. This was carried out by the hospital barber (so my answer was truthful) using scissors, talcum powder and a cutthroat razor! It itched like mad as the hair grew back and, as a consequence I have never felt inclined to to repeat the experience. I have always found hairy guys an incredible turn on and am thankful that there are some wonderful pictures of great guys with their body hair intact on this site. However, each to their own.

I did have to have a pubic shave once prior to an operation in hospital.
Last year, Dearest Boyf. suffered the very same indignity, due to an emergency appendectomy.
Now normally I am maniacally devoted to his dick, but seeing it without it's magnificent frame certainly put me off, (to a degree!)......and I was ever so glad when it grew back, .....although the itching drove him mad.
An experience NOT to be repeated willingly, I can tell you.
Repeated shaving does something very strange to the lovely texture of normal skin, .....and those seemingly unavoidable ingrown hair lumps are just plain off-putting.

I only shave now and then, my balls and some or all the pubics, because I like the feeling of being smooth down there.

Ocasionally shave the pubes.
It gets damn hot here in Arizona (US) and I find a shower and talc dusting is more comfortable during the summer. The rest of the year I go hairy. Since I don't shave on a regular basis, I haven't experienced the negative side effects, including the itchy feeling originally experienced after the first few shaves.
