View Full Version : Fantastic holiday on Crete (Greece)

I just enjoyed a really great stay on the fabulous island Crete:
Friendly people
Nice countryside
No stress
Perfect weather (25-30 degrees C)
Marvelous beaches and sea (also 25 degrees C)

So I spent all day's in several thongs, and not only on the beaches. At the beaches I did not wear anything else. BTW never got any negative comment about me wearing thongs.

Coming weeks I'll post some of my 170 thong pics here.

Ahh Crete, ...without a doubt one of my favourite holiday spots in the Med!

Surely the past perfect tense of the verb "to thong" should be "thang"?

Actually I was trying to say "swanned" about, ......but I have lisp! :D
Perhaps it's a case of "the thong is gone, but the malady lingers on"? :D

Do NOT laugh, oh perspiring one!
I assure you in one of my more ....let's just say "inebriated" moments around my swimming pool, .....it HAS BEEN DONE!
(And to rapturous applause too; ...you should see my "plies", ....and NO that is most definitely NOT an anagram!!! ;) :D )
Although I will add there was some confusion as to whether I was actually performing "Swan Lake", ...or the "Dying Swan".

The third day I was in the morning on the beach until the wind turned into a kind of sand/dust storm. I left the beach for a nice walk in de mountains. Of course only waering my yellow swim thong and for a change a skimpy light blue mesh thong.

You obviously had a wonderful time. I love your choice of attire, and the people who let you enjoy it. Seems our Greek brothers and sisters could teach some of the more uptight and puritanical a thing or two about tolerance and acceptance.

One other question.... Where you going next year? :D

Thanks.

There must be more men in thong/string on Crete, however I did not spot them, a lot fully naked, yes. however I never felt odd or special wearing my thongs. I did it on several beaches, also some more family beaches with (most probably) Greek families with children.

So just wear them.
