I'm wondering on how many of you guys out there shave your pubic hairs?

I'm really interested on what technique you use. How do you achieve a "smooth finish"? What are the after-effects (i.e. itchiness, redness, etc.)?

I'm willing to shave it all off (all of it!), but I'm not sure how to get started.

I shave my balls, dry with a safety razor, but that's about it. I quite like hair so I wouldn't want to loose any more!

I once tried shaving my crack - never again! It was too awkward reaching round to do it and the itching after a couple of days as the hair grew back.

I wet shave balls, dick and small amount of tophair.

Use a good shave cream/foam etc, make sure you shave at night (your balls are generally looser at night), lather well and use a new razor, preferably not a disposable. I tend to make short strokes and do the area once only as you will get shave rash. Use a good after shave balm to put the moisture back in.

You might want to cut/trim the hairs first to make it easier.

It does get itchy after a few days but you should be able to reshave within 4/5 days without getting an itchy rash. Once you do it for the 1st time, you will like it and it becomes a habit and something to look forward to. (i shave once a week, twice if i'm going out)

(I do my crack occasionally and use a mirror whilst lying on my back in the toilet. It feels really good but does get annoying sometimes on regrowth)


Most important.
You will get a tremendous hardon whilst you are getting ready and lathering, but take your time, work your balls when shaving to the skin nice and smooth and take your time but don't be nervous.

There is no redness after awhile and shave with a Mach 3 Turbo , does a great job .

I use a beard trimmer to shorten my body hair then I hop into the shower and take nice ling hot shower. Damp dry off and I like to use a menthol cream (I like the nice cool feel it gives) and a MAC 3 Turbo razor to finish off then a quick cool shower to rinse. \Towel dry ands use a Vitamin E based lotion. The oly time it's better than that is when my partner shaves me and I him.

The topic might be done ... but here's my 2 cents worth. In the last few months I've started to shave my balls and surrounding area. I like to keep my pubic region trim as well by using a small electric razor or scissors. I have to admit that in soaping up my balls and then using my Mack3 Turbo razor to gently shave gives everything down there a lovely easy and smooth finish. I can't stop touching myself! Guys, yes it is a bit of an effort, but only a few minutes or so, and in my opinion it just looks better, much better, and I don't mean being bald down there either just neater. Been doing it for years, and if you are new to this grooming routine, after a few tries the problems with an itch or regrown hair should go away. As I work out regularly, I am also one of those guys who prefers to shave his legs as well, just better definition, luckily don't really have to worry about chest hair. And yes I am str8.

Doin it this way saves the redness, bumps, itchyness, and zits since you are merely clippin it back short and not shaving it. As a straight guy, who keeps things trimmed and neat, let me assure you that it's not "supposedly." It may not be common, but there are plenty of women who have an opionoin, and aren't shy about it. My wife likes to see me in speeods and skimpy underwear, and she thinks too much pubic hair makes them look sloppy. Don't assume that all straight folks are uptight and boring. :-)

I posted the exat same question on another underwear board, and all the replies I got swore by this stuff called "magic Shave" , it comes in powder form which you mix with water and then just spread where you need it.
