Today I saw this realy cute guy in all black. His shirt was tight and showed off his great body. His workout pants were kind of tight too. I could see the outline of his jock strap. Wish we had ended our workouts at the same time so I could have seen him in his strap.

I've seen the occasional guy in a jockstrap in the changing room, but it's rare enough that it's notable.

I never see anyone else in a thong. This gym is at the Uni - I used to see the occasional thong when I trained at an aquatic centre. Paradoxically, I tended not to wear my thong there, I wore Speedos so that I could slip stright into the water and/or the sauna after the workout.

I've been frequenting a health club here in cool Arizona for the past couple of months. I was the only on in a jockstrap initially, but they are catching on (again). I was talking to one guy today who (while admittedly straight) found the jockstrap appealing to look at, and after wearing one also found it remarkably comfortable. There have been quite a few stares, some stupid comments, but despite the comments I'm seeing more jocks! Do you think they just might catch on again?

Oh I do SO hope so!
I have noticed more being worn not only to the gym here, but onto the dance floor too as underwear.
Of course they have always been popular with the leather fans, going very well with the harness thing, but it's certainly great to see such a fabulous masculine garment making a return.
What sort of "stupid comments" did you get AZTanDan?
With ass-ets as great as yours on full view in a jockstrap, I can't imagine anyone could say anything derogatory at all!

Probably something to the effect that he should be wearing shorts, rather than just a jockstrap, while working out in the benches in the gym. Some people just don't get it. Women in particular seem to be rather uptight about guys removing their shorts in the gym, I always find.

I certainly hope so (for obvious reasons - both personal and financial!) ;) And I also hope my company is partly responsible for them catching back on.

The usual closed minded BS is the most common. When one younger guy asked what I was wearing his "friend" (a rather disgusting looking gent) said that it was made for (gay explitive) who don't like a thong string to get in the way of a good butt F#*$#) at which point a rather large, well muscled gent in a pair of bike compression shorts told him what he could do with his opinion. (I was rewarded with a squeeze of my jock clad cheek).

That was the most overt statement. There have been others, but I have found that these are the same idiots who espouse the Bored Short and publically deride the bikini, thong, and (now) jockstrap.

The bottom line (no pun intended) is that they were designed to support, and they do just that, in fact they support better than any garment I've worn, and I must admit that I love the way my assets look in a jock, and the way I feel when I'm wearing one... And yes Bondsman, I only wear bike whites, and have worn them as underwear to the club under a really nice pair of tight 501's! :moon :D

Oh dear - to get a little off topic here, I belong to a jeans fetish site as well, and I am always amused by how many guys seem to think that 501s are the only jeans worth wearing. I don't even think they were the best that Levis made.
Ever tried G-star?

Perhaps you're right SweatyAussie, ...but for better or worse, 501's have gone into the gay icon status. Maybe you are overlooking the associated aura that goes with some garments. Perhaps they weren't the best fitting, the longest lasting, or even the smartest, but they carry a memory or evoke a fantasy that the "better" ones just don't.
An example for me would be the white classic briefs I so favour.
Now to be sure there are many more "fashionable" styles, certainly a far greater number of much more expensive styles, and truth be told, probably even some that may be more comfortable, ......but none of them do it for me at all! And like your statement above, many other guys can't understand why I still like to wear them when the racks are full of far more trendy commercial stuff.
Strange? Not really. Some garments just hold that extra special "fetish" appeal that is lacking in others. Perhaps the current ones are too new as yet to have gone into the "classic" status. Time will tell, but I doubt it.
Companies and styles come and go so quickly now that nothing stays around long enough to achieve anymore than a passing "fad".
Although 501's have now become very closely associated with the gay community, they still have that slightly un-fussy air that pretends to be "butch", which fashion garments just don't have.
And don't forget, many of us sucked our very first cock :blowme after undoing buttons, rather than the more prosaic zip!
You don't forget things like that!

ABSOLUTELY! I'm not familiar with many fashion jeans, and I deplore the act of wearing jeans and shorts so far down, held in place by an overtightened belt as to expose the arse (which is clothed in some disgustingly ugly pair of underwear) is plainly visible to everyone. Not that fashion jeans elsewhere are like that, nor to imply that others on this site are lumped into that catagory based solely on their taste in jeans. It's just that here in the states it seems that any "fashion" jean has the obligatory butt showing attached to it.

With 501's it's all about the button fly. I personally feel that half the fun is getting into them, or having someone else getting into mine! :D I personally like the shrink to fits which I usually by at barely the right (shrinkable) size, then wash them, and then sit in the sun, turning frequently so that they dry to my body, giving me what I consider an awesome fit. Not only do they fit better, but the sun tends to start a bleaching process in "all the right places" ;) ;) :D

I think you two should join the GuysInJeans forum so we can carry on this discussion there. Not enough people actually talk on that forum.

Oh, and just because I said I think 501s are over-rated doesn't mean I like saggy-baggy jeans, I don't.

Put simply, I do not give a toss whether a particular style of jeans is in fashion right now or not, except inasmuch as it makes them easier to acquire if they are (in fashion). I loved the Levi 673s (sexiest jeans ever made), and I also love some of the newer low-rise (but NOT sagging) jeans such as G-star.
