2xist have never been a big seller for us mainly because the UK ended up getting the ranges about 1 year after the USA.
Apparently this issue is being addressed so the UK should get the same designs and delivery dates as the USA but we are still in two minds about continuing to stock 2xist.
What is the general consensus about their ranges like Liquid Cotton, Pulse, contrast & carbon ??
Should we just drop 2xist and use their budget for another brand or should we go for it?

Ummm.... isn't this a business decision that only you can make, based on how much revenue you are making out of stocking their stuff?
I dare say most people here would say keep them, so that they have as big a selection as possible when they buy from you. Give people a choice between having something and not having it, and they'll probably say yes. Whether that translates into enough extra sales is something only you can judge.

True it is a business decision for me to make but as I hope i've demonstrated before I like as much interaction from outside sources as well regarding my business - i've always treated both DGU and justhom not only as "my business" but also a community place where underwear lovers can buy underwear that they want. I also posted this in another forum and generally most people were against us keeping 2xist basically because their designs are no longer exciting, prices in the UK are too high compared to what you can in the US etc.
Regarding the revenue, the way I look at it is that's not always about the money - sure I could go ahead and stock something like Calvin Klein and have a steady revenue stream coming from that but there are certain brands I refuse to take for various reasons.
After consulting with my business partner, some core customers and also other members of various forums and blogs we've made the final decision to not continue with 2xist and use the budget elsewhere (we've got a couple of good ones already lined up and im in the middle of testing some samples out myself)

Yeah, ....good to see someone giving those poor over-exploited five year old kids chained to sewing machines in third world sweat-shops a break in their work load!
After all, they also have to work as prostitutes any time they're not making Calvin Klein VERY bloody rich! And I notice the style HE lives in............ ;) ;) :D
Wonder what percentage those kids actually get of the super-inflated price he charges for his over-hyped stuff?

I know your direction is entirely different than ours, but we made a decision not to carry CK 2(x)ist and even CIN2 just simply because those brands are not only readily available all over the net, but also just as cheaply in your run of the mill department stores. The only way to actually sell any would be to keep them marked way down and on sale.
I've have always shopped online simply because it allows me to buy products you can't find by going to the mall.

No I havent really thought of ergo wear but it does sound attractive for us as Chile has a free trade agreement with the EU (according to their site) which means no import duties which as we have found from importing other brands into the UK is a huge chunk of money (in some cases it can be as high as £4 per unit additional cost) so i'll drop them a email.
One new brand that we have had samples from are Peter Patenberg which is a new German designer - samples arrived yesterday and the quality is stunning.
We wouldn't go for all their designs (i think the need for male corsets is a somewhat limited market)

Tim, im just in the middle of negotiating prices with ergowear at the moment. I presume from your blog that Thongs are your preference.
It would really help me if you and any other person who is interested in us stocking ergowear take a look at their site www.ergowear.com and let us know which designs and ranges you like the best i.e the more information we can gather the better we can tailor our wholesale purchase from them.

ergowear sent me some samples which arrived yesterday so i've been wearing one of their X3d ranges today and I have to say they are very comfortable. If I was going to make a criticism I would say that the extended pouch isn't as roomy as something like the obviously for men range which we already sell but I think there is enough difference between the two brands for us to seriously consider stocking ergowear
