PACK YOUR BAGS, WE'RE MOVING!
Well, I've just got notice that the new dedicated server is ready and all the files for my sites have been copied over. I've been requested to test the new server and all the pages to ensure that it's been moved successfully. I'll be doing that this weekend.
When it's been tested and I'm happy, I'll have to give the hosting service the go-ahead and they'll put in the DNS change (that's the part of the internet that converts and IP address to a name like usg-online.com) During this change over time, if you type in usg-online.com some of you will end up on the old server and some on the new, all depending upon when the DNS server that you happen to be using gets the update notice (I know, TMI!).
Because of this, I have to bring the boards down, as any posts on the old server will not be on the new server and will be lost.
I'll turn the boards off on Monday and get them to make the DNS change - and then it should only be a day or two for all of you to be on the new server. You'll know that you're on the new server, as the board will be up when you try to visit the forums.
Sorry for the incovenience, but it's going to be great with all the bandwidth and not having to share the mysql database with other adult sites.
Shortly after this, I'll be launching the new redesigned shopping directory on usg-online with search features! It's looking really great with new colors - plus it's giving me the opportunity to go through all the shops and update their reviews and weed out the few shops that have closed down and have broken links.
What a great start to the new year!
....and on that note, I'd like to say thanks to everyone for making this site so much fun (and hot!) It's all because of all of you posting the incredible pics and participating here on the boards and submitting the profiles on un-der-wear.com that has made these sites so popular - and it's just going to get better in 2004.
