Hope you all find just what you want under the mistletoe!
Best wishes to all our board members for the Feast of Sol Invictus!
Looking forward to our discussions and pics again in 2009.
*WARNING: the second greeting below comes with a warning. Although entirely sincere in it's intent, it may NOT be to your taste. You have been warned! ;) :D

Here we go gathering nuts in December!

readysalted
12-24-2008, 06:27 AM
sweaty
the nuts are out there........and we dont need to gather

it is nice to know that the head of the catholic church still knows how to play the 'guilt' card!!!!!!
but coming out with a statement that rates homosexuality just below global warming certainly shows that we (we being the gay community) are so high on the list of catastrophes.........way above the global financial armageddon.......way above appealing for care for the needy of this world through famine, war, genocide etc........way above thousands of people losing their jobs, and maybe turning to the church for spiritual support........it's all the fault of those bloody gays

well i'm sorry........but the words pot and kettle.....and glasshouses/stones come to mind...........the catholic church has never admitted (yes it has paid millions in compensation), to any of its priests for indulging in 'underage homosexual penetrative sex', will it now condemn and expel all and any?......doubt it

anyway i ramble.........and no doubt others will either agree or disagree with the above sentiments...........but at least i have a right to say these things and do so with a clear concience.....because i really dont care what other people think of me

dont be browbeaten.......you are what you are (your god made you like that)
enjoy life.....enjoy the freedom to live your life the way you want too
but most of all enjoy underwear

i hope Santa, St Nick, Kris Kringle or whoever you believe in (as all good boys should).......is good to you and leaves a nice pressie under your tree......and doesnt just creep into your room and empty his sack lol

Merry Christmas
x

The bit about the Pope is true, but hardly new. He is only perpetuating what started with the apostle Paul.

The point is, you and I don't have to take any notice of the Pope - and fortunately he is is in charge of only one country: Vatican City.

I'm afraid I do have to take notice of the hate spewing geezer who has a direct line to millions of people who think he is a direct line to God. He is brainwashing those in his flock.

The only good I can see from it, is that the more he preaches his crap, the more the fence sitting, the informed youth, and the educated distance themselves more and more from what they heard was supposed to be a loving and compassionate institution.

Thank you readysalted for bringing it up. I was going as well, but got to wrapped up in Christmas and family.

happy holidays everyone!

A simple greeting from the Islands I love...

Mele Kalikimaka!

Thank you all for a stimulating (sic) year of discussion, debate, and learning. May 2009 bring us just as much (if not more) of the same online enjoyment.

That bitter and twisted old Nazi Ratzinger, who now poses as head of the Paedophile Church, must rate a triple X on the hypocrisy scale!
The Vatican would cease to function if he remove the homosexuals, ...it's like a gay disco now with great decorations and frocks, ....just bad dance styles.
I'm currrently FAR more concerned with the black population of America.
I have ALWAYS supported anti-racism measures and equal rights for all, ......and seeing that as a group they have a long experience with prejudice, unjust laws and severe discrimination, you would think, just think that they would have some understanding of the difficulties faced by another minority group.
And yet?
As an ethnic group apparently over 80% of them voted AGAINST extending gay rights in the recent election!
Pissed off? Yes, just a little!
Mind you, I was also pissed off when visiting Dachau concentration camp and extermination centre and learning that the Jews had refused to allow the gays to erect a monument there to those who were tortured and died under the Nazi regime.... there are quite a few monuments of course dedicated to those unfortunate Jewish prisoners:mad:
Seems yellow stars rate higher than pink triangles......???
I always find it amazing when a persecuted group itself persecutes another group to feel superior.
Thanks for nothing!
I was however, somewhat heartened to actually hear Barack Obama, (who is technically neither black OR white, ....if that matters), say the word "GAY" in his acceptance speech. :) :) :)
It is my guess that it's the very first time we, as a group have ever been mentioned in such a context.
Personally I'm concentrating all my global warming powers right above the vatican!
Stand by for Ratzinger's worst nightmare to materialise......Revelations: Revenge of the Poofs!
Always fancied myself as one of the Four Horseman, ..... :D :D :D
Err, ...don't you find it amazing how a thread that started off as a Yuletide greeting, can morph into something as serious as this? ;)

Probably the most memorable quote in my favourite film Dogma

He still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the shit that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, televangelism. But especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.

i.e Religion = a good Idea f*cked up by man

Anyway merry xmas to you all

I wonder what gives me this funny vague niggling feeling at the back of my mind that Bondy doesn't like structured religion?

Other way round actually!
One of my rare mistakes, as it's turned out!

I wonder what gives me this funny vague niggling feeling at the back of my mind that Bondy doesn't like structured religion?Oh, let me remove that "vague niggling feeling" :
"And lo, verily I say unto you that I am without prejudice, .....I hate 'em all equally".
I stand by my personal assessment derived only after many years of study of the various systems of this bizarre human phenomenon:
Any manifestations of religious beliefs are a sure sign of mental illness.
(And yes, you may quote me.)
Now if you take only a short moment to think about the above statement, you too will realise it's veracity.

Despite the rabid lunatic ravings of the triple-tiara-ed old Nazi, I maintain that THE greatest threat to the world today is without a doubt "religion" and what is being done in it's name.

Call me a spoilsport if you will, but I do so hope there's some sort of an afterlife, however brief.
I want to enjoy seeing the faces of all those religious fundie bigots when they find out they're NOT going to where they think they have a certain ticket! :D :D :D
I assure you all my laughter will be audible from beyond the grave....... :D :D :D

correct

and adam too from justhom

apart from the 2 world wars (although there is some dubiety on the feeling behind the assasination of archduke franz ferdinand) (and the persecution of the jews (gypsies etc) and the subsequent annhilation in villages, towns and cities where they lived and worked alongside normal people, by the nazis) and the american civil war, almost all other wars have religious undertones, going way back to greek/roman empires through to stalinist russian empire, chinese maoism (communism is a religion whichever way you look at it), the yugoslav genocide in the 80's, Pol Pot and the utter destruction of society in Cambodia, palestine/syria and israel, inter tribal genocide in Africa and the current 'suicide martyrs' who come from a religion where it is said to be 'against their religious beliefs to take life'...........all in the name of a god, and aided and abbetted by religious fanatics who call themselves priests/rabbis/ministers/imams......whatever you want to call them

the world is a sad place

but at least we can take comfort that we have this site, and we can visit here and celebrate and even 'worship' the many temples which fall under the guise of underwear, however large or small those temples are and however large or small are the congregations that are inside them, for we care not, we only care that our fellow worshippers have seen the light and are spreading the good word through sharing our thoughts and images

You know what I heard? There are people out there that have fetishes for things other than underwear. Things like tight jeans and some are into feet even. One person even told me that some people (brace yourself) are into enlarging their genitalia with some for of medieval glass tubes. Someone even told me they are so organized they too have websites. Clearly they are wrong and threaten our existence over here. We must retaliate! But we must be smart about it. I think we need to send some spies over there first, so we know more about our enemy.

Any volunteers?

I keep telling people that size is not important!

Having said that, I must say that some of the "temples which fall under the guise of underwear", like temples built in the name of religion, are very impressive from an architectural standpoint, especially those spires and minarets!

The very thought of those "congregations" inside produces somewhat of a religious experience in MY own "temple"!

The spies are out there already, and I can report that, at least in the case of tight jeans, the rumours are true. The natives, however, are friendly, and I have even recruited a couple to this forum. A policy of peaceful co-existence would seem to be mutually advantageous.

The main issue I have with the jeans freaks is that so many of them wear nothing under them. As an underwear lover, this particular heresy sticks in my craw. There are a few though who concur with me that the right underwear enhances both the look and feel of a tight pair of jeans.

There is a religious term for this, when one religion "borrows" features from another to incorporate into its own belief system - the word will come to me presently.

The heresy in that barbaric practice is so abhorrent I am tempted to re-introduce burning at the stake!
"Freeballing", (spit), or "going commando" (retch & gag), are without doubt the most heinous crimes, not only against the comfort of one's own genitalia and personal hygiene, but the enjoyment of one of life's most pleasurable experiences.
Back when I was a single man, ....(Dearest Boy's NOT watching as I write this!), ...I have actually "called the whole thing off" when removing an otherwise quite attractive bloke's jeans and finding ...... NO UNDERWEAR!!!
Had him picked as a white-brief-boy and I just seemed to lose interest......after that I ALWAYS checked at a much earlier stage...... ;) :D

"Desperation"?
I am reminded of the christian church usurping ALL it's festivals and most of it's early church sites from previously existing cultures.
They then proceeded to slaughter anyone who remembered.
Think Celtic Europe, South America, Hawaii, etc. etc.

hmmm
but surely our religion is a peaceful religion
now we have one of the high priests harbouring dark and dangerous thoughts against others..........simply because there temples or congregations are different from ours.......
do not be lead by these words
stay true to the one religion

let us look together at the sights of the many temples around the world
let your congregation grow and stand to worship
build your temple so that even the very roofs will strain to contain your joy
let your temple be filled to capacity and even overflow
lead yourself by the hand
or if you are fortunate to have a fellow disciple.........be led
then when you reach that joy of worship.......that crescendo of glorious rapture in celebration
remember to utter the immortal words
OH GOD!

*but be warned*
a great flood will flow
your congregation will diminish
and your temple will collapse

but as with all things
your age will depend how quick you rebuild and worship again

also let us rejoice in that our congregations are varied
our worshippers come in many guises
as well as being a worldwide religion.......embracing many cultures
we do not care if they are clean shaved, trimmed/clipped or hirsute
we do not care if they cover their heads or proudly proclaim to all that they have cast aside this hood
we do not care if they adorn themselves with jewellery, or that some even surround themselves within metal walls
we do not care if some are not in control of their salutations and dribble and foam in their excitment
and we do not care about age, size or colour

...either that Xmas sherry must have been somewhat stronger than we thought, ...or my verbosity is catching!!! :D :D

Nah, as nice as it sounds..it'll never work readysalted.
FAR too inclusive.
All religions, ..repeat ALL religions need someone to hate, oppress, and feel superior to, otherwise the whole "chosen people" thing just doesn't work!
I suppose we could try making those heretic freeballers (spit, retch, gag) the oppressed and make long diatribes denouncing then as the greatest threat to the world today, but I'd really rather just convert them by buying them a pair of undies. I suspect many of them are just too damned tight with their money to buy any, or they are trying to save on laundry like a lot of cheap backpackers.
(It's certainly NOT sexy..... )
Remember, the existent religions can't even agree whether their invisible friend is the same one or not, and of course only their own "believers" are going to their heaven, so I think the diversity of underwear styles probably heralds an early schism and reformation, with a latter day Martin Luther nailing his 95 thongs to the door of the traditional brief fanciers.
Mind you, I WILL volunteer to head up the Inquisition, and inspect all suspect heretics for any deviates not wearing the sanctioned forms of underwear.
I could then torture them by forcing them to wear PROPER underwear, ...would that actually be a punishment or a reward?
And for them or for me?
But I refuse, ...flatly refuse to wear a "hood"! ;) :D

You have missed the point

yes the congregations are important...........but it is the temples which unite this religion..........or as you say above need the hate/superiority

our temples come in many guises too

some believers erect temples of white with retractable roofs to allow fellow believers to view and join in the celebrations
others (shock and horror) erect the same temples but in various colours whether self or multi coloured
i have seen temples which are made so that the world can see the celebrations withouit having to enter
some temples are versatile in that they are submersible
i have attended temples where they were clearly not finished for the congregation could not be contained and spilled out throught the walls
whilst i have heard of temples which are massive and are without walls which offer no support
and even temples for excersise
some believers insist that the whole of the body be covered whilst worshipping

i am sure i have read within these scriptures of believers and devotees who abhor any but their own temples........yet we still worship this same religion

i like the sound of an inquisition
but let us start on the oppressors who deny basic freedom of young men like sfcastro69 who asked for our help, but who didnt know how to wear a speedo and who was scared that wearing one might make him seem gay
and the advertising gurus who cover the male form in ridiculous bored shorts yet allow females to have 2 sticking plasters and a cork to advertise anything

as for hoods
that subject has been covered (sorry) many times before
all i need say you either have it or you dont

Well mine certainly do - all colours and architectural styles - but I have been completely converted from the Boxers Church. I eschew this one totally nowadays.
Mind you the "Church of Hom" is certainly the best (appologies to Bondsman, his church has a lot going for it too). The better temples can be easily recognised by the "pitch" in the roof ;) (see centre seam).

Here's a story that might amuse you (from my schooldays)
One of my mates (I forget who) about his older brother who was committing this heinous sin.

"My brother pulled up the fly on his jeans and caught his scrotum in the zip. Down he falls screaming in pain and clutching at his crotch."
"I'll never be able to have kids now" he wails.

His mum is not amused as she (foolish woman  ) didn't think her little boy knew about such things.
