Activeman Sizing

Like the looks of the Activeman jocks but the sizing is different to most - medium is 32-38" which is a pretty wide range. Would a guy who is usually happy in a Bike Large (36-38') fit into the medium or had he better upsize to the large (38-44")? Seems kinda huge.

Anybody here tried these yet? Swimmer or wide band - and does that make a difference for picking the right size?
