I think the reason he gave was not wanting to get his clothes muddy when he went into a lake after a ball. There is another photo (I don't have it unfortunately) showing his caddie (female) wiping the mud off his ankles. I suspect that he was showing off and wanted an excuse to strip down to his underwear!

Surely that was unnecessary under the circumstances, the lake wasn't THAT deep!

I had heard about this incident but didn't know pix existed so thanks for finding and posting them. No idea why the top came off but not complaining !! :) :)

And looks like he is supporting his local economy and sportsman. And supporting them well I must add !!!

I've not only found the photo of his caddy wiping the mud off but I've found one showing the extent of the mud. The only reason to remove his shirt (or even not just roll up his trousers) is exhibitionism!
