There's a new feature (well, improved actually) called Subscriptions. You can now subscribe to any Forum, post in the forums, or any Social Group to be notified when there's something new in said forum or group. You can choose either to be notified by email (either daily or weekly) when there's new activity in the subscribed forum, post or group.
To subscribe to a Forum or individual Post, at the top of the forum or post is a menu item called "Thread Tools" - click that, then click the "subscribe to thread/post" link. Then you'll be able to select how to be notified. If you selected one of the email options, then you'll get emails when there's new activity but regardless of selecting an email option, you will see an overview of all your subscriptions in your User Control Panel (click the "User CP" link in the top menu.)
To subscribe to a Group, when you're on the Group's homepage, you'll find a link called "Group Tools" toward the bottom right. Click that, and you'll see the "subscribe" link.
If you want to remove any subscription, just click the User CP link at the top right of any page, and you'll see all your subscriptions in the right panel. You'll see a link associated with each subscription that reads "Unsubscribe from this Group/Forum/Post." Click it, and it's gone.
