Sports jocks

When I was first becoming undies-aware in my late teens and twenties, there was no shortage of opportunites to "spot the jock" in a variety of sports on TV. I will confine my comments to UK TV & sports, but all cricketers wore jocks, Manchester United players still wore jocks under their shorts (though other soccer teams were adopting briefs), and all rugby players showed off their jock lines. There were less common sightings in athletes, and amongst tennis players I remember Boris Becker, Ilie Nastase and Stan Smith showing good jock lines.

Now jocks under sports shorts are an endangered species, replaced by support briefs and compression shorts. Are there others who miss the excitement of spotting the outline of the straps, particularly when a sportsman bent over?

Don't get me started on the long, baggy, shapeless sports shorts which are now considered fashionable :(

I've actually been seeing more jocks than before... True there was a dry spell, but I (as usual) refuse to yield to the ever changing fashion trends. Instead I continue to wear what is comfortable and sexy for me. What I have found is that many men at my gym have asked if they are comfortable and where I purchased my jock(s). I have been seeing more and more men doffing their workout gear only to display a truly glorious fitting jockstrap and (as an added bonus) several of the newfound converts have started to pay more attention to myself and others who have always worn jocks. :D

On this subject I couldn't agree more. Any short that has a hem that is below the knee should be considered ill fitting pants in my opinion. I personally have spent a lifetime working out and have tried to keep my bod in the best condition possible. I have been told that my best assets are my legs, which I refuse to cover up with those horrid long shorts, whether they be casual or bored shorts. I will admit that one must really shop to find the shorter casual shorts, but I personally believe it is worth the effort.

Sure glad that you are keeping "STRAPS" popular in your area of the US. Here in Chicago (at least at my racketball club) lotsa younger dudes wear "STRAPS"!

I am a 'STRAP HOUND' and wear a SWIMMER STRAP as my undies. I change to a regular "STRAP" when I play racketball.

I'd wear a jockstrap to the gym but quite frankly I want as much fabric between my butt and the benches I sit upon!

That said, a local bar here in Philly has jockstrap night. I went last week and it was a lot of fun. I could oggle without getting in trouble! Lots of jocks on hot bodies. Granted the situation is completely contrived versus guys in jocks at the gym, but I'll take what I can get. Oh, the swimmer's jocks with the thin waistbands tended to be most flattering!

I really miss seeing jockstrap lines under shorts on TV sportscasts. I used to look forward to watching sports when there were jockstrap sightings. I no longer watch much because of the lack of jock sightings. Other than with pro football, there really isn't anything to see with respect to jockstraps.

Watch a NFL game! They all go into the huddle, bend over to have a chat, and HELLO! Lotsa straps showing through those white football pants! It's one of the few truly enjoyable moments of NFL Football!

I'd also like to mention that we've outfitted the Florida Panthers with jockstraps (Hockey) and also a local gay rugby team here in Toronto - so there's still some sportmen who like their jocks.

I have dozens of "BIKE" cups and jockstraps. I wear a jockstrap and cup everyday. The cup has a hot smell at the end of the day. I wash my cups everyday but never my jockstraps. Like to phone and talk hot of jockstraps and cups let me know.
