I have been thinking about this for a while now. I have wanted to count my underwear collection and see just how many I have. I am sure my collection does not even come close to some of yours but I thought I would share. I would like to know what is in everyone's collection too! I took a quick look at my "collection" and I realized it'd take some time to catalog the results. It ranges from a printed Brut brief bought at Kmart in the mid 80s, to the Jil mesh brief I bought on a school trip to Paris, to the Shock Doctor jock, and to the latest Wildstripe brief from Baskit.

Lots of favorites, only a few that I don't like. All are in great condition except the ones whose elastic has disintegrated, not from use but age I guess.

About 500 in most styles, with about 100 thongs. I usd to keep a database of all my undies but I'm afraid it's now way out of date.

I used to have more, but now I think there's about 400 pair in my collection - white briefs, bikinis, boxer briefs, and some vintage.

I'm thinking of putting some of them on eBay...

79 jockstraps, have to make a list of the brands, styles and colours.

Jocks, thongs, boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, longs, union, bodysuits all.
It's sometimes so HARD to decide what to wear.

About twenty at any given time. (They get discarded and replaced all the time.)
In the "collection", ....haven't a clue any more, but it must now number well over a thousand. Last year in an effort to reduce storage I even gave away a whole lot of stuff I had accumulated that I am not interested in personally, and other things I bought way back when I thought I had to collect one of every damn thing ever designed to be a form of male underwear. (There sure was some weird stuff there I can tell you. Weird!)
Know what? My str8 mates fell over themselves to take it!
Go figure? Apparently it "improves" their dreary sex lives! :shocked:eek:
I will refrain from making derogatory comments about str8s and their tastes or sex lives, ...we are getting a few on this board and I certainly don't want to alienate them. ;)
Now I only buy if it's a particular example of something with a fly style I haven't cum across, (pun intended), ....or at least that's the theory. However I did manage to come home from Paris with a few that don't really meet even that criteria, but I have certainly "cut down" as they say.

I don't think I have ever tried this! I like the feeling of underwear so wearing multiple pieces would take away from that.

Great idea for a thread, I recently tidied up my undies drawer, re-folded everything to make room and put my regular wear stuff on the top, so I'll have to have another go and do an inventory soon...good excuse to have another rummage through!

Still, it would probably run into several volumes, ......even in paperback.

On average I only wear one pair a day I sleep in the nude so the larger the collection the less wear and tear they recieve. I guess this means I will be wearing underwear long after they are in style but that stuff does not really bother me as I enjoy every pair I have some get worn more often than others but I still enjoy them all

As I have said here before, I consider my underwear a true "collection" in that I don't feel I have to wear all of it. Somethings I have just purely as examples.
With only a little work my collection could make up a rather interesting exhibition.
I may try some of it on briefly(;) from time to time, but it's certainly never going to be worn on any regular basis.
I count my everyday stuff as being part of my collection, but I certainly don't keep any stuff if it's worn out, ..it gets discarded, unless ofcourse it's vintage and my only example.
I have now decided to concentrate on less styles, and have eliminated excessive pairs of certain brands, and other miscellaneous styles I am not all that interested in. I made the early mistake of trying to collect an example of every type, which was OK way back when, but nowadays the choices and brands are so broad and numerous that it was becoming very unwieldy, ...not to mention expensive.

But as space is with me i do not have alot of drawer space,so limit the colection to a small amount.

I aim to keep the collection down to about 30 pairs, so it looks as though I shall shortly need to give a few pairs away.

My regular wear briefs are not included in this list. Of which I have another 60plus pairs in that. My dressers are pretty loaded. And, to think it is only a third of what I used to have!:)
