It's the San Fran made by Rufskin. I think it's an interesting take on the typical jockstrap.

I like the jockstrap, I'm a big supporter of re-inventing the wheel and love creativity.

It actually reminds me of one of the jocks we carry by a local Toronto designer called Raw Studio. Raw Studio's is made of soft leather and he has used the leather for the leg strap, but there's a small piece of elastic on each leg strap to ensure a good fit.

But like the Ruskin one, it's thinking outside the box - which I'm all for!

Considering your profession and your personally stated predilections, I would have thought your thinking would be FAR more likely to be concerned with what's INSIDE the box, ....no? ;) :D

I'm not sure a box would be very comfortable or practical, maybe a sphere.

Interesting. Deusex, I thought you'd be a jockstrap purist! I did decide not to buy it, however, after hearing some comments suggesting it was a bit too girly.

Philly,

Just take a look at what we carry on Jockstrap Central - hardly a purist although I do love a classic Bike jock on a hunky older guy, but I'm also a aratist/designer and love art, fashion, architecture, dance and applaud creativity.

Hmmm, ...wonder just what he means by "older"?
Thinks: Deusex knows jocks! I wear a classic Bike Jock sometimes, does that make me "over-the-hill"? Maybe I better change to something younger and girly-er? Wouldn't want to be labelled "geriatric" by my choice of jockstrap! Give me another squiz at that luminous yellow shiela's suit above! Might have to order myself one. ;) Does it come in Barbie-pink?
but I'm also a aratist
So how how are your studies of that particular sacred mountain from the Old Testament going? :D :D
Are you indeed a believer of the Ark Theory?

You, Bondsman. ;) Seriously, in my world, anyone over 30 is older. I've always liked older guys and I figured as I myself got older (43 now) that my scale of what I consider older would grow with my age, but it's remained the same.

Give me a break, I'm entertaining the outlaws all week and have maybe one hour on my computer each day, no time to spellcheck. ;)

You, Bondsman. ;)
OUCH!!!, ...I'll apply for the Aged Pension at once!
Look, I certainly understand that "gay years" are even shorter than dog-years. In gay terms one is certainly deemed as "old" some few seconds after perhaps 22, ...even that's probably "pushing it" these days, but now that I'm officially approaching Methuslah's personal best I'd better check around for some gay-friendly retirement home to eke out my few remaining twilight years in my old briefs, ...just as long as it's NOT diapers!
I had hoped that wearing those Bike Jockstraps would lead to something warm and exciting, ...I had no idea it would be bedsocks and Geritol!

Do hope your cooking is NOT responsible for any of those fires currently burning Canada down?
Spain and Greece are ablaze too I hear!
It was the south of OZ last year and now it seems it's the Northern hemishere's turn.

At least I'll be keeping you company in queue (wearing our jockstraps)

That's out west. We've had too much rain this year for fires. We've had the coldest and wettest summer since 1993 this year. I believe we've only hit our average temperature of 28 celcius once or twice this summer and we've usually had one or two heat waves by now, and there's been none - and according to the long range, there's none coming. The only good thing is that although we've had lots of rain, it's mostly in the form of isolated thunderstorms so, we've had lots of sun as well - so Ontario is more like England right now - lush and green where usually it would be dead and brown.

anyway - that's getting way off topic. Bringing it back on track:

I hardly think the original jockstrap was "girly" just interesting. I don't equate fashion with "girly" - if it was lined with frilly lace, yes.

Ah yes, ..."fashion" indeed.
You're referring to that means of expressing one's individuality by wearing exactly the same thing as everybody else?
Or to quote the immortal Oscar Wilde:
"A form of ugliness so intolerable, we have to alter it every six months!":D

I've tried some rufskin before. Their sizing is a bit odd for me. I've tried 3 of their products and there wasn't room enough in the pouch.
