Hello B.... Glad to hear that someone else is in a union suit. Last week or so I started wearing my Athletic Unions Suits and today I'm in a white long-leg-long- sleeve union suit wondering if anyone else in America, or, even Norway for that matter is wearing one. Well I can answer that one myself. At least someone else was in thermals. I was in Aldies food store buying a few things and there was a young Soul-brother sagging his jeans in front of me. In fact they were so low that you could see about six inches of his thermals.I kept hoping that they would totally drop but no such luck. :D

Coldmaster I haven't missed a day since the first of sept, I wore yeaterday on a trip to southern Pa, where it suprised me how warm and sunny it was, but I only removed one of the 2 thermal shirts I had on.

I enjoyed walking around all day in my white 2 peice thermals, under my nylon addias pants.....Come on winter I ready for you.....

Hey I like L Js too, ( a lot!)...but even the thought of staggering around in the heat wearing them here would risk meltdown from heat stroke!
You blokes are true fetishists!

Bondsman I'm a little skinny guy, and cold if it isn't 80, I could use all the heat I can get, you should see me in the sub zero temps I sorta look like the Michlin man.

But I grew up loving to wear longjohns, most young guys did not want to wear them when I was a kid, but I was a little different I couldn't wait to wear them, most of the time my summer undies were just unionsuits with the sleeves and legs cut off or just the bottom half with the legs removed, and after I stared wearing 2 peice I had boxer breifs long before anyone else the only difference mine were thermal.....

Personally I think we should adopt you as our very own charity here on site.
We could organise a collection to have you relocated to the Bahamas!
Nature knows cold requires BLUBBER to survive!
Little skinny blokes, ...while very attractive, ..are NOT built for sub-zero conditions.
And shifting is FAR better for you than just sending you free fast food vouchers.....;)

I used to have the blubber even then it did nothing for me against the cold, when I was a kid I was very heavy up untill the age of 19.

On my 18th birthday I weighed 260 lbs, and at 5'4" there wasn't alot of room to spread it around, and 1 year later starving myself I was 130 it has been a constant battel to keep the weight off since then.

But many many years later I'm still 5'4 unfortunatly, but weigh in at 105 I like being thin way better than being heavy.

I look at it this way I love long underwear, and what better excuse is there to wear it, LOL

Congratulations on the weight loss ballucanb, ...I know it can't have been easy.
I am always impressed when people actually DO something about it rather than just make constant excuses.
Well done, ......and it's a good thing you do love thermals so much too!

Sure, I'm away for a few days and a real conversation gets started. Bondsman you're right about being a real fetish for some of us. I don't wear long johns when it's really hot, though I wish I could. I read somewhere about a fellow who would really crank up the air in the summer so he could slip into his union suit and jeark off. It's not a bad idea.Perhaps someday we could have a great logn john / union suit convention. I'm partial to white myself, but I'm ready to enjoy a mix of red white and blue, and even tie-die. Years ago I worked in a foundry and most guys wore long johns there. One young dude wore his tie-died union suit all the time. I still have fond memories of him. But that's all for now. What ever happened to Old Hippie? Perhaps he'sjust into jockstraps now. :)

Over the years I have picked up a few other fetishes, but long underwear was always my favorite, and like everything in life you always go back to the thing you love the most, for me thats cars and long johns.

I spent some time in a blacksmith's smithy when ordering some custom wrought iron, ...and the blokes there wore them too. Seems wool provides the best protection from burns caused by sparks and flying hot metal.
"Forge fleas" as they called them.

Jockstraps are not underwear, they are the lack of underwear, unionsuits and long johns, are real underwear.

Can you tell I like long underwear? LOL

I like union suits :) I buy union suits :) But I don't wear them very often because the climate in this part of the country rarely gets cold enough to allow it :(

The only thing I could suggest is getting a full or short sleeve suit and having the legs hemmed, or you can buy lycra short suits for cycling.

I have a few full lycra suits they are used for warm water diveing, or under a rubber scuba suit, they make great longjohns albeit thin.

Is this the kind of thing you mean? The label reads that it's made by Coldmaster, is of style 50US and is made in the USA.

I've a feeling I got mine on eBay but I'm not sure. There is a Hanes suit here (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-One-Piece-Cotton-Athletic-Union-Suit-Underwear_W0QQitemZ220364235661QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ UK_Men_s_Vintage_Clothing?hash=item334ebb638d#ht_3 369wt_859) but at over £50.00 I think it's rather expensive!

Hello! Thanks for posting your pictures of you in an Athletic Union suit. For the past seven or eight years I've worn this type myself when it's too hot to wear a regular unionsuit. In fact I've been wearing them the past few days. They were popular in the 20's and 30's, but sad to say they have gone out of fashion. Coldmaster(see where I got my name) quit making them about three years ago) I wonder if you wear this often. Does it ever get cold enough in Merry Olde England to wear a long sleeve long leg unionsuit? By the way how long have you been into wearing them and what prompted you to start. I'm just curious about how other guys started wearing Union suits. Stay bottoned up buddy.

Coldmaster I din't wear any just like that, but when I was way younger my mom wold cut off the sleeves and legs from my union suits and we wore those untill they were worn out, then the next winter we would all get new union suits and wear them for the winter season and repeat the process all over again.

I guess having 4 kids ment saving money anyway she could, I certainly didn't mind wearing shortened suits, my older brothers got new regular undies, and I stayed in the shortend suits most all the time.

In winter only and then not more than half a dozen times a year :(

Oh yes :( I don't spend more time outside than I have to though so if I'm wearing something warm because I'm outside when it's cold it had to be easy to remove when I come inside. Although I do own and wear long sleeved suits again I don't wear them very often.

By the way how long have you been into wearing them

I think I got my first set of combinations when I was about 16! Catalogues were about the only place you could buy non-mainstream underwear and there was only the one style of suit in one colour (white).

what prompted you to start.

I think that I liked the idea of the suit being something masculine. That you were so well fastened into it that there was a hole at the back to let you take a shit. That it was an all over garment gave wearing it a special appeal.

I think that I found the Union Suit very sexy (I still do ;) ) but your question has only just made me ask why.

So I've said how I came by my first suit. What about you? And can you answer why we find Union suits sexy?

One time, I must have been twelve or thirteen I went to my Grandparents house with my Dad, and while we were there my grandfather came out of his bedroom in just his Unionsuit. Everyone started laughing at him but I'm thinking, "That is the coolest thing I've ever seen." Perhaps a year later my Grandfather died, and one day shortly after that my Dad came home with a couple bags of my grandfather's stuff that he wanted. Low and behold several unionsuits. My Dad had always wore two-piece thermals but he started wearing his Dads unionsuits.Needless to say the first chance I got I tried one on. Of course I popped a hardon in about two seconds and ever since then I was hooked. Eventually my dad caught me not only weariing his unionsuit but beatiing off in it. He said, "Why didn't you tell me you wanted one of your own?" Anyway a day or two later he took me out and bought me a couple unionsuits in my size, and he'd check to make sure I was wearing them all winter. Which wasn't a problem for me. In fact in those days there were several guys in High School wearing Unionsuits. I've been hooked ever since. So there you have the beginning of a fetish. Anyone care to add their story? Come on, I know you've got one.;)

Well my story started way back when I was a very young guy the only winter underwear I got were unionsuits, for some reason I remember wearing a suit when watching TV in the living room of our tiny house and I remember me with a stiff one while wearing it.

I do not remember if that was the first time I came but it wasn't the last time I came in a unionsuit.

After that experience I remember wearing suits up untill about 7th or 8th grade, and after that 2 peice waffel knit thermals invaded my life, as the winter underwear of choice, but I did spend alot of hours looking for union suits all year long after I got my drivers licence, and was very sucessfull since then I have union suits all of the time.

Hey B... I've always loved going out "unionsuit shopping" myself and can remember Army Surplus stores, and small shops that sold unionsuits. I'd always try to talk to the proprietors about them, and it was great when one would let me know that he was also a unionsuitor. I'd often stop by there again and strike up conversations with them. By the way did you have any buddies back then who wore unionsuits. Later :D
