Finally!
The newly revamped shopping directory is now online. It's taken me almost two months to get it done (adding all the data to the database was the time consuming part!) but now the hard part's over. The new design is all database driven. This will not only allow me to update the area faster, but it will also allow search and sort capabilities.
The old version reuired one html page for every reviewed shop, whereas this one only takes one page and the database to genearted the whole area.
Although I will add more functionallity to it later, already you can list all the shops at once, you can list them alphbetically, you can view only the new or updated shops, or you can pick a style of underwear and swimwear and bring up just the shops that carry that style.
In doing all this, I've removed the many broken links and defunct sites (god the industry is volatile!). I've launched with no new sites, but now that it's up, i'll be adding lots of new ones in the coming weeks. I have probably 30 or more new ones to add to the directory.
Anyway - I did a lot of the work while I was very tired, so if there any mistakes, broken links, or grammatical errors - please don't hesitate to let me know - it's really easy for me to fix them now.
