Growers vs Showers When it Comes to Underwear

I've often wondered what guys think about underwear depending on whether they are a grower versus a shower. I am a grower and to me that seems more ideal when it comes to a lot of the specialty underwear that we all like to wear here.

So I'm especially interested to hear from any showers what they think of closer fitting underwear. Is it simply impractical or just too uncomfortable? Are most designs able to accommodate you? Is it a point of frustration?

Also just curious in general what day to day life is like for you showers, especially if you're particularly well endowed. Is the attention always fun or is it sometimes tiring? Is it ever in the way? I would have to imagine the pros outweigh the cons, but just curious what guys have to say about it.

As for "close fitting" garments, I like my jockstraps, but otherwise lean toward briefs, boxer briefs, or square cut trunks. I prefer thin cotton with some stretch and free-form, rather than something with seams or a pouch. I like a VPL, but not overly constricting...and no-fly ever! It isn't my place to say if I'm a "grower" or a "shower", but I consider myself average and choose comfort over all else. Some of my undies happen to hug n reveal more than others, but I like them because they are comfortable as well as (hopefully) being somewhat sexy.

Grower here, but I still prefer roomy, bulgey pouches. I can't stand being squished flat. I can't stand my balls being squished into my thighs, and as a result, I probably wear a metal cock ring 4-5 days a week. As far as underwear goes, if it's not a bulge pouch, it's a no-go.

I'm at the point now too, where I freeball a lot more than I ever have. Especially in jeans now. Grey sweatpant season is fun, and I've long since gotten over the wedgie butt or some VPL. I guess I consider myself a grower because my size between soft and hard is quite different, whereas showers I think have less of a difference. But it's certainly subjective and I will absolutely take the compliment!

I hear ya about comfort! If I'm doing anything physical for a while (working on the car, yard work, etc., except my workouts ) then I prefer something less wild and more comfortable. I tend not to wear boxer briefs or trunks because my thighs are larger and they tend to roll up. You can definitely find pairs that are both comfortable and sexy as you said though, and it's a big part of why I mostly where Gregg Homme; I find them quite comfortable while also being very sexy.

I will strongly second your opinion about pouches! Definitely my preference as well. Cramming myself into something tiny is a fun novelty for pictures or play but I can't go around wearing it, just too uncomfortable.

I freeball a lot as well in the summer, like strolling to the grocery store down the block in my shorts. Just more ease and laziness than anything because I don't wear underwear lounging around the house either. I consider myself a bit more of a shower than a grower, due to this find it very difficult to find general underwear that completely holds me in. Everything I now buy is online and either pouch or known for its larger space. Ive spent alot of time and money trying different brand just to get the right fit.

Roomy and loose pouches really don't do it as it make me feel inadequate and there is no support... Might as well wear boxers (which I do on days I have to focus on work) or tighty whities (don't wear them).

My question to the forum is how often do you plan to get hard in your underwear and for how long? I'd think the flaccid state was more prevalent for most folks unless you work from home and are in your undies all the time! That's my reason for focusing more on the flaccid state. I'm a bit of both, so I like to have something with decent coverage at the front, ideally a pouch for my balls so I can put my cock kinda diagonally up and to the left. Then if (or when) I do get hard it just carries on in that direction!

The issue with this is that the pouch is usually too baggy for just balls, it needs the cock there too, but for me that get a bit cramped.
