I used to wear one to sunbathe in, so that I could untie the sides to avoid tan lines when I first moved to Hawaii back about 20 years ago, and no doubt I would have bikini malfunctions both accidentally and intentionally! I remember one day walking on the path from the parking lot my tie side G-string untied itself 5-6 different times and I would have to stop and retie it over and over. Then finally after about the 5-6 time I had to stop a couple that was following me down the path said “Don’t bother tying it for our sake, you are having enough problems with it we can see!”

I'll agree it can difficult to tie a side-tie without a third hand.

Here's a suggestion: Lay the untied side-tie flat inside another pair of underwear - a standard bikini for example - and pull them both up together. Let the bikini hold the side-tie in place while you tie everything together. Once you're done, lose the bikini.

You're basically using the bikini as the third hand and this works pretty well in my experience. And of course, once it's tied, you can just leave it that way ... assuming you can resist the urge to play with it. Which nobody I know of can, but in theory, you could just tie it once and leave it that way forever. ;)

I just realized the other day I didn't have one in basic black, so it's on order now. I'll post a pic or two when it comes in.
