For me, no. I, like you, despise all that extra fabric. Thongs are it for me, and I don't have much of a choice since like 99% of my underwear in my drawer are thongs.

I have grown use to the minimal coverage, and wearing a thong just seems right now.

I'm now a 24/7 g-string/thong wearer and wouldn't have it any other way. I sometimes add a pair of brief briefs for discretion but they always come off ASAP whne not needed.

Can’t remember the last time I wore a pair of briefs or hipsters. Regardless of the weather, I sweat like a bitch from every inch of my hairy pale body, especially my ass and balls, and even a thong can become saturated in seconds, and boy does taking it off after wearing it all day hurt!! That being said, I will sometimes suffer it just to feel sexy.
