  • Hi Guest!

Feel free to check out Underwear Swimwear Guys as a guest but we'd really love you to join in all the fun. We're just a bunch of friendly and very passionate guys who share a love for underwear and swimwear.

Just so you know, Underwear Swimwear Guys is and always will be a 100% free site. And don't worry, we don't share your email or details with anyone. The site has been going for over 17 years.

So, when you're ready, we hope to see you take the plunge, sign up and gain full access to the site (again, 100% free). When you do, you'll be able to comment, post, react to and rate the other members photos. Plus, you'll get your own profile, you'll be able to post in the forums and if you're brave enough, upload some photos of you in your underwear - we definitely want to see them!

I visit this site daily and love the community here. I do have a question though. @deusex how did you choose the categories on the members page? I love birthdays, and reaction score, but some of the others are surprising. Albums, Solutions, media items, and messages, highlight members who are prolific, but not necessarily that the community chooses. If one wanted to gain exposure they could post more and that has some benefit, but I question whether it incentivizes the behavior that is most valued.
I would like to suggest a consideration for the metrics that are more driven by others similar to reactions, followers would be a good one, also most comments and likes are pages I would love to visit. Most replies to forum posts would also be interesting.
Lastly with an eye on keeping this site free and available, I would hope that this would incentivize members to do the things that increase traffic, push algorithm ranking, and ultimately create revenue for the site. I would like to say that the ads so far are not obtrusive and from companies that are appropriate to the viewership.

Thanks for the message. I agree, I love the community here as well.

I didn't write the software that runs this site. It's powered by a piece of forum software that runs thousands of other community based websites like this one. I commend the software developers for creating it as it's multi-featured and serves a purpose for a variety of needs.

The Members section and the metrics come built-in. The "solutions" are geared more toward programming sites where members could post a programming question and other members provide solutions and the original poster can give solutions an up or down vote. I have only built in one forum as a "solutions" forum and that's the "Hey, here's a question" forum. Its mostly there as I was testing the feature.

In short, I can't change the Members page. The stats are what they are. They tally member activity. I don't think most members care about them. The only stats I'm vaguely interested in are the member count and Hard Drive Disc Usage. I doubt anyone is trying to be a prolific poster just so they can get a mention on the "Most Messages" list. I would hope that guys post a photo or post a forum thread topic more for feedback and to start an interesting conversation. Personally, I rarely go to the Members section. The first place I go when I log in here or on my other Your Jockstraps website is the What's New section as it gives me a quick oversight on everything that is happening.

As for the ads, I'm not done adding some more ad spaces. I simply ran out of time as I'm head-deep in designing a new website for Jockstrap Central and expanding our existing JC Athletic collection of jocks and sportswear along with designing gear for two other brands we're launching.

So far, there's only the side banners for my own company Jockstrap Central and for Koalaswim (as I've joined their affiliate program). But the main problem with those ads are on a mobile phone, the side columns get pushed to the very bottom of the webpages so nobody on a mobile phone will see them. I want to create a few horizontal ad spaces here and there - but they'll have to wait.

Cheers,

John.
