I’m my experience, not at all….. Swim suits are generally cut slightly differently to most underwear and still look very much like swimwear even with the liner cut out, you’ve just got to be that little bit braver to wear one especially if it’s white!!!!

Nope. Swimwear usually has much stronger elastic (so it doesn't peel off when you dive in, for example), and is made from materials that don't absorb water, so they can dry a lot faster than, say, cotton or the like. The fabric also tends to be heavier.
