White cottin briefs instead of real swim suit anyone?

Growing up I wore white briefs in lieu of am actual bathing suit. I think sometime in early high school my mom got me an actual swim brief, a blue Adidas one but it was silly because she insisted I still wear my underwear, which would kind of like stick out of the speedo a bit. I didn't care but I definitely got teased about it from a bunch of different people on top of had already bring teased all the time about wearing white briefs. I didn't really care at all to be honest. Today I wear briefs exclusively, if I'm on a cruise or at a regular hotel I'll wear grey briefs to keep is somewhat low key. However a few wks ago I was at a cheap hotel for work and decided to go down to the pool. They ended up having a hot tub. There were maybe 15 people in there. I dropped my towel and took off my shirt and was wearing these grey 2xist sport briefs. Went in the pool for a minute and into the hot tub where there was these two older couples. As soon as I got in they immediately got up and left w these pissed off faces lol. I thought it was ridiculous that they were offended by it. Never had anyone act so abruptly before
