Who likes Mankinis?

On one hand, I think it's a shame that Borat has made the Mankini a joke but on the other hand, because of him, there's now lots of guys wearing mankinis whether it's as a joke or not.

Despite these cute guys taking the joke stance on mankinis, we still get to see them parading up and down the beach in Cancun in their matching mankinis and it's pretty sexy.

Personally I find mankinis a bit odd, but each to their own. I imagine the way the feel on is good, but the look is not so good in my book. That said always happy to see a decent looking guy posing in whatever he chooses.

I’ve been a HUGE fan of the slingshot or ‘mankini’ design for years, sadly however the ‘Borat’ movie ruined all that.

About a year or so before the movie came out my then GF bought me a red slingshot to match the one I’d bought her and had me wear it for her while on holiday...........Boy did I love the attention we got together on the beach....and the tan lines! For the next year or so I pretty much wore the style exclusively both at home and at the beach to tan in.........then BOOM! “Borat” ruined it all.........

The men’s slingshot became a thing of ridicule for a long time!


Thankfully today there are many different designs out there that look nothing like the ‘Borat’ mankini so I’ve been able to start wearing them again. Among my favourites is the “Alter” ‘Lateral Flash’.......... In white

Now THIS is hot...but generally I find (what these are) slings to be a bit ’Borat’. If its a hot sling on a hot guy...well they can wear anything and make it look good!

As I’ve mentioned before generally not a fan unless you have the body or attitude to pull it off. The JS body thong is pretty sexy and has straps the go around the waist which i think make the look sexier and less Borat-ish
