I agree with ukthonger. After shaving I find the hairs grow back all prickly but after waxing (or sugaring in my case) you don't get that. I have been getting sugared regularly for years and the hair now comes out so easily and comes back sparser.

I was a County swimmer as a kid and as soon as I started growing pubic hair my coach insisted I get rid of it!
I started out by shaving it off myself but this just led to irritating razor bumps and in-growing hairs so she suggested I got waxed instead. She set me up an appointment with the girl that did her waxing and I’ve never looked back!
At first I used to keep the hair within my trunks, keeping it trimmed short to prevent spiders legs but as my trunks and tan lines got ever briefer the girl that waxed me suggested I should just go the whole hog and go bald, ‘Hollywood’ style. Been that way ever since!!!

30 years on I still go and see her once ever 4-6 weeks to get totally smooth.......

I get a rash/ingrown hairs from shaving also...regularly exfoliating helps reduce the ingrown hairs and shave with a sharp razor and shaving cream...don’t use water alone

Has anyone tried the hair removal creams etc?, seen a few on Amazon. Would be interested to see if they work, or not.

If you shave on a regular basis the rash goes away. Also try a product called "Tend Skin" solution for razor burn and ingrown hair. Kind of expensive $25 for 8oz or about $40 for 16oz but totally worth it. Amazon has the best price. It will clear up your razor bumps in a couple of days.
