What's going on at the beach?

Just spent a glorious summer day at the beach. Noticed that guys between 15 and 40 have boxer underwear under their bathing suits. What is this about? Who wants to stay soaked after coming out of the water? Don't they have a clue to either get a suit with a liner, be daring and go skimpy, or use a jock? Thoughts and explanations appreciated.

Most of my board shorts don't have any built in liner and I never wear anything under them. I don't care if there are skin tight for a moment when coming out of the water. I certainty wouldn't wear boxers under them.

They are just suits with new liners. There’s been a lot of ads on Instagram for them. Some even have different patterns for the inner linings.

I feel most guys go with boardshorts and nothing under but these suits are just a more modern version than mesh.

I quite agree ! Why are men so ashamed to show that they are men and have cocks? Women certainly don't hide the fact that they have tits! At the public swimming baths I go to, practically all the men wear shapeless shorts or boardshorts. One or two might wear speedo type swimsuits. I wear Brave Person slips, unlined, very narrow sides. Here in brazil you can see EVERYTHING. Guys with boring board shorts, lycra shorts, boxerbrief shaped speedos, larger speedos, smaller speedos.... and some places, thong. I only wear speedos (7cm at the side is the smallest ihave) and want to wear jammers at the pool. And no problem at all. I love wearing speedos cinse i was a kid
